Mississippi River and Backwater Flooding

Earlier this week, Governor Phil Bryant, MEMA Executive Director Greg Michel, FEMA and the Mississippi National Guard conducted an aerial tour with of the Mississippi River and its backwaters flooding near Warren, Issaquena and Yazoo Counties.
The Backwater flooding is at its highest mark since 1973, with over 550,00 acres of farmland and residential area impacted by floodwaters.
