Thank you so much! I am a 60 year old woman who lives alone and can't afford a plumber. I really appreciate this video. Thank you so!! Oh and P.S. IT WORKED!!
You just saved Thanksgiving at my house for me and my kids...My kitchen sink was clogged on both sides and maintenance wouldn't be able to come out because it wasn't considered an emergency...I stumbled across your video and followed all your steps and it worked...even Drano didn't get the job done...Thank you sir and God bless you for saving everybody $$$ 😊
It is generally not recommended to pour boiling water down a sink if you have PVC plumbing. PVC pipes can withstand temperatures up to 140°F (60°C), but water boils at a much higher temperature, 212°F (100°C). When boiling water is poured down the sink, it can cause the PVC pipes to soften and potentially warp or even burst. When pouring hot water, such as pasta water, into PVC drain and sewar pipes, fully turn on the cold faucet and pour the hot water slowly.
This is good. I have a double sink. You would be surprised at the different versions of this. I saw hot water first, wait 20 mins....I did it your way and it worked instantly. I subscribed. Thx.

THANK YOU! This worked great on a huge clog of lentils that got put down the garbage disposal and backed everything up on both sides. Filled disposal side with baking soda and then added a ton of vinegar and plunged it gently to work it into the clog while blocking the other side of the sink so it would go down and not just back and forth, worked great! Put about 5 gallons of hot water with dawn down it afterwards to make sure it didn't log jam farther down the pipes. Thanks again!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! The baking soda, vinegar, and boiling water trick worked!!!!! I❤UA-cam. I’m so grateful for helpful people like you that post. 😊

It worked for me, 80-year-old grandma! I stupidly threw shredded carrots in my disposal and so that clogged up the disposal side. Used 1.5 boxes of baking soda, almost 2 quarts of cleaning vinegar, and 3 potfuls of boiling water. I had to go to the store to buy a plunger which took almost 2 hours. Upon my return, I turned on the disposal and it all drained!!!!! Clog Gone!!!!! Did not need the plunger. Thank you a million!
Thanks so much. I was about to call apartment maintenance for the 100th time for plumbing issues. This saved me, I was able to clear the clog using apple cider vinegar and baking soda! I got most of the sitting water into the toilet and then tried it. Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! This worked great! If you have other baking soda products for carpet cleaning or for pets make sure you use plain baking soda because the other products have a silica in them and can actually add to clogging the sink.
Tried everything I mean EVERYTHING except baking soda and vinegar. Took a whole box and a whole bottle but guess what? SUCCESS!!! Subscribed, sir. Thank you for the video.
I told my Mom about it, she has a slow draining sink. My step dad passed a while ago, so she is alone. You are going to have an army of single ladies following you!!! Thank you again, you helped me so much!! I did have to do all the steps, but it WORKED!!!
Plunger worked on potato peels. Double sink , stopped up side was the sink. Disposal worked. So I closed off side with no water in sink (disposal side) and plunged the regular sink and it worked. Thank you so grateful. God bless you .
This fixed my issue in an apartment when I didn't want to call the maintenance guy. Finally a youtube fix ti video that works!!!!!! I don't have a disposal either!
Thank you Crackerjacks, I followed your directions to the tee and I'm happy to say: "it worked". I used a small snake in the end and wasn't sure it would be long enough. Now I don't have to call a plumber! I hope your day will be as happy as you've made mine!
This was very helpful! Thanks so much...I used a gallon of white vinegar and a box of baking soda.... followed the procedure and that fixed it! Thanks again!
Worked for me today, it was plugged last night and was waiting for my husband again with a dirty kitchen and I thought maybe I can do something and looked up a video on UA-cam, I looked at a different one but did not want to go buy a plunger right now (don’t want to use the toilets’) and since I dislike using chemicals anywhere in my house I used your technique which was the second video I saw. Works like a charm, thanks so much, may God bless you!!
Thank you Sir! When we first moved in I had to rent an snake to clean the vent on the roof. Now a days its not an option to do myself. Tried this and totally worked! Bless you for this video!
You’re the Man! Im up at 4am trying to unclog this double sink with a drain weasel? Nothing worked. I skipped the steps just plunged the sink like you instructed. It worked like a charm. Well done.
In case this helps anyone... When using the plunger, I weighed down the sink plug with a couple of rocks, so it would not pop up. (It looked like he used the plunger on the sink with the disposer and used the plug on the other sink.) I used a flat red rubber plunger and it kept slipping out of place. If you are buying one, there is a black one with a 'flap' on the end (folds out from inside the cup) that maybe works better.

@@CRACKERJACKSDIY I did subscribe! Question: I looked at cleaning vinegar in the hardware store and it was super pricey. Maybe cheaper at some place like Walmart. I have a gal jug of 5% acidity. Do you think that would work OK?
@@CRACKERJACKSDIY I got some at Walmart and used 1 cup baking soda and 2 cups cleaning vinegar. It worked as you described. A few bits of food waste floated up, but the sink was still not draining. Update to my initial reply: It was late, so I stopped for the evening and in the morning; the water was no longer standing in the sink. So, maybe the baking soda/vinegar water sitting overnight did something. The sink is no longer clogged. The dishwasher, which drains into the disposal, is full of sudsy water, maybe is the jet-dry? I flushed out the jet-dry by removing the cap and pouring in several cups of hot water and then ran the rinse/hold cycle. Repeat many times. But it still has sudsy water so I might take the disposal out and take it apart and see if it's somehow keeping the dishwasher from draining. Probably easier than pulling out the dishwasher. First, watch some youtubes about dishwashers...
I’m so sorry. Thanks for reporting back. Seems like you have no choice but to snake the drain unfortunately. Be careful about what goes down the drain in the future… no oils or coffee grounds.

There's literally no purpose for a double sink other than aggravation.
Ha!!! I feel your pain but uou got this! 💪💪💪
Actually, there is.One to soap soak dishes, the other for rinsing dishes/disposing food.
A double sink is an absolute MUST.

@@CRACKERJACKSDIY I did subscribe! Question: I looked at cleaning vinegar in the hardware store and it was super pricey. Maybe cheaper at some place like Walmart. I have a gal jug of 5% acidity. Do you think that would work OK?
@SkatingErinsMom it should. Yes that’s what I used was the great value brand.
🎉 Boom! Worked within 5 minutes. Thank you!!!!

Our Sink Is Literally Clogged Rn Definitely Gonna Try This
Please report back!
Unfortunately It Didn’t Work
I’m so sorry. Thanks for reporting back. Seems like you have no choice but to snake the drain unfortunately. Be careful about what goes down the drain in the future… no oils or coffee grounds.
