I totally get his point. We still need to evolve to a post-technology place where it can exist in our world without running our lives, or without us letting it do so.
I've tried things like social media in the past and I've always left it behind after a time or not used it as much as others because it's never sat well with me. I always feel much more comfortable being in nature, outside, and interacting with people in real life and in real time.
The Internet can be a tool to assist in that connection with human beings, but nothing beats actually being with another person, it's a different thing entirely. So is going to a shop to buy something as opposed to browsing online, etc. We can use technology, but we can't let it be the only way we interact with the world.

I was expecting something kinda embarassing and funny from the title but it's all just a genuine viewpoint put forward in a calm manner...
I get where he's coming from and it's very common amongst the older generation for a very long time. Basically societies expectations of people rise along with what is possible with new technology but in turn technology is expanding our potential. I kinda agree with what he says in that there are mega corporations and millions of dollars is moving about every second. Like it's kinda intimidating in what a big company earns in a few minutes could set you for life as a person. There are now people that are so wealthy that they have as much money as whole countries.
