Loved this one!! I did Hogs for the first time at the Festival this year and cannot wait to give it another go...also want to give Hangover a try, looks rad...even if I have to walk some sections. Thank you for putting this together! Steve and Tess are 🙌🏼
Your fitness level was on full display here but Steve was even more impressive. I have created a loop in my area that's 13km long of hard trails (BD-DBD) that I ride on my hardtail and I can only finish it on a good day. I'm in aw of how you two just smashed a weeks worth of riding in one go.
For a guy from The Netherlands -think average gradient 0%- this is really mind-blowing footage, well actually for most people I imagine. But there is a big difference between 'I might slip in the next corner and end up in the bushes' and 'I might slip in the next corner and drop 300 meters down an abyss' It looks pretty dramatic to me 😀
Hardtails Rock!!!! Remember social distancing!! Be good, do better! Stay safe! Peccary: a gregarious piglike mammal that is found from the southwestern US to Paraguay.
A peccary is a medium-sized pig-like hoofed mammal of the family Tayassuidae. They are found throughout Central and South America and in the southwestern area of North America. They usually measure between 90 and 130 cm in length, and a full-grown adult usually weighs about 20 to 40 kg. Wikipedia
I have a question for Macky. I too have a shaved head and living in Georgia I sweat a lot while riding. I wear a Headsweats Shorty beanie under my helmet to help absorb some of the sweat but I'm wondering if you've found a better solution?
Not really. I used to wear a band (Squirt Sweat Sucker), but now almost never do. Part of it is that I don't sweat much, but we also spend most of my time in places with minimal humidity... 🤷♂️
Macky flatters me. He's a super humble dude and one of the most talented riders I've ever had the pleasure of riding with. And he's an all around amazing dude (as I'm sure you know by now). What blows me away with macky is how effortless he makes things look. He rides insanely hard stuff with so much ease. I learn a lot from every ride I join him on. It was an honor to join him for this.
Are this the Pearl Izumi BCBR shorts? Bought some during the race, just because all was wet and dirty. Now they are my favorite shorts, backward pockets are great.
Great video... how are you liking that jet9 rdo for those type of rides .. I'm riding a 2016 frame but want to upgrade to a newer version it's just hard to find any firsthand knowledge of niner bikes... again great videos keep up the great work
Great riding, crappy views 🙄😅. I've been pushing my rides more and more and had a 35 mile pretty technical ride planned out here in NJ, but my axle snapped 36 hours before the ride. As i was unable to fix it up before the ride i used a full rigid fatbike and boy was that a game changer on amplifying difficulty. I still attempted the ride but cut it off at 20 miles as i had to make the decision that i was worn down and fatigued. Definitely looking forward to giving it another go and pushing those boundaries.
Huge fan of quiet hubs. My DT Swiss 36T is pretty good, but I wouldn't mind an Onyx in the future! I know Shimano had some super quiet stuff they were working on... is that what you're on? Shimano Scylence stuff?
Very nice tour and great video! But your new helmet looks like a XC race helmet. Does it really give you enough protection in rocky terrain like this? Stay save, no injuries now...
It doesn't have as much rear protection as an Enduro style helmet, but that doesn't really make much difference if you don't land on the back of your head. Obviously crazy things can happen, but I was pretty sure I wasn't going to OTB so I felt comfortable wearing it.
Being a bit smaller and lighter, I figured it would be a good choice for a really long ride. That being said, the RIP pedals so well, maybe it would have been the better option...
He's also deathly allergic to wasps which is why he carries the epi. Luckily we both read the comments because I don't think he understood what you were asking 😂😂
I love hardtails. I got to say my hardtail is by far faster and climbs way better than my full suspension bike. I run a 2x10 10 speed xtr drivetrain. I find 2x10 better range.
Bye Syd and Macky, Syd told in her video that she can no longer turn off the mind circles in her head. That is exactly what I teach clients in my practice through knowledge and skills. My clients consist of business professionals and professional athletes from different disciplines. I would like to offer you my help (see it as a patreon gift). You can find information on my web site www.pjc-coaching.nl. You can translate the texts via google translate. Greetings Peter Jonkergouw
Ask yourself this... Is this a livestream? Do I have any idea when this video was filmed? 🤦♀️ (It was filmed weeks ago pre covid. Not that it matters but they are also riding safely. We are doing our part to flatten the curve. Are you? Policing random videos on the internet doesn't count.)

Very impressive. You sound gassed and then you’re able to talk and give warnings to hikers 💪🏻👍🏻
love the silent hub, my DT swiss one is silent too. A little eerie to start with but much better once you get used to it
Macky positively crushing it on the techy climbs! Awesome riding from both of you. Great vid!
Hardtails rule!!!!

Thank you all patreons. can't afford it, so goodjob who can.
That Hiline climb section is legit, you owned it Macky!
Thanks Patreons.😀
Great trails and great riding guys...the only thing missing was Syd. Hope to see her back on her bike again soon. :-)
Us too!!

A Peccary is also known as a Javelina. Like a large Rodent.. There is alot of them in Az. They are a big game animal here.
They are small wild pigs, known for packing a lot of bad attitude into a small package haha.
great trail and awesome skill guys!
Great ride. We recently did Hiline and a few others. You’re right, the trails are good but the views are just as awesome!
Looking to do the Triple H on Sunday - appreciate the input regarding fueling and hydration! 🤙
this channel is so so good
Excellent content Macky!!
First time here. Great video. Your commentary is perfect. Just enough info to enjoy.
Go Steve! Hardtails rule!!

Awesome video! Enjoyed it so much

Peccary: a gregarious piglike mammal that is found from the southwestern US to Paraguay.
Thank you for the video! Need all the content I can get in all this downtime.
Great video. Thanks for keeping the content coming.
Not an easy ride, after the 3rd H my legs cramped the whole way back to the VOC. Props!
Steve knows those trails. Still an awesome biker. Great video. I had a trip planned to Sedona for April but cancelled and bummed.
Pearl Izumi gear is the best. Great video. Stay safe out there S&M!

I would really like to see one!!
Triple Hells Yeah!
Wait.... hardtail party!? Yaaasss
There's a party in the mountains and you're invited.
Great to see you on the bike again Mackey! You guys ever make it to VA to ride in the GWNF? Stokesville is legit!
Macky is "the man", nice tech climbing Macky!!!
"
PS, so good how you inform hikers / other cyclists if there are other riders following
Steve flexing 💪🏼 the convertible 🤔😳🤣. Now I see how Betty was swooned!l lol
Lol. I needed all the help I could get to snag her.
hardtail party 😂👊🏼💪🏼
that was some good entertainment. I think Jeff L did a video highlighting the climb on high line. You made it look easy.
Macky, nice ride& trails someday will visit sedona and ride the trails btw how your new niner whats your review on it. me i have a niner jet 9 rdo.
Macky, an epic upload! You’re going to have to CGI Syd into these rides, or hire a stunt double! Beautiful riding! Keep doing what you do!
@sydandmacky 23.08 does that mean that shimano is still tinkering with the scylence hubs and you are testing them or is it an older set of hubs?
Hardtail gang!! 🤙✊
I have a question for Macky. I too have a shaved head and living in Georgia I sweat a lot while riding. I wear a Headsweats Shorty beanie under my helmet to help absorb some of the sweat but I'm wondering if you've found a better solution?

When do you guys come to the Netherlands/ofcourse if, after the pandamie
That Jet9 !!! What a Bike!
Agreed! Love it!
Steve CAN RIDE💪🏼👏🏼👊🏼🌵

Hmm... Not sure if they had them at BCBR, but that makes sense!
Awesome trails. Happy to call Sedona my home.
**Hard to say that there are any true double black trails in Sedona, but they sure are fun
Peccary is a wild pig, or javelina, that are found all over AZ.
Great video... how are you liking that jet9 rdo for those type of rides .. I'm riding a 2016 frame but want to upgrade to a newer version it's just hard to find any firsthand knowledge of niner bikes... again great videos keep up the great work
I love it for this stuff! Light, pedals super well and doesn't have any issues with the technical stuff (up or down)!
Just bought one myself a month ago. It felt so quick and playful, and based on this video I knew it could handle all the trails I want to ride.
Sweet ride. I love Miatas... or is it MX-5?
Miata like you guessed!
Great riding, crappy views 🙄😅. I've been pushing my rides more and more and had a 35 mile pretty technical ride planned out here in NJ, but my axle snapped 36 hours before the ride. Nice job! I admit I read "my ankle snapped" and I was thinking "broken ankle so decided to do it on a hardtail?!" 😂😂
The last 3 minutes👌 super nice tech trail. But so farcaway from austria 😩 And on a hardtail you learn to ride smooth
Ride safe out there. Have fun - but don't crash! Hospitals are a mess these days.
A peccary is like a wild pig. They roam Sedona in groups and wreak havoc. Pretty funny critters
And the little Piggy went Wee! Wee! Wee! all the way down! Number #900
WEEEEEEE!!!!! Woohoo!!!
Huge fan of quiet hubs. My DT Swiss 36T is pretty good, but I wouldn't mind an Onyx in the future! I know Shimano had some super quiet stuff they were working on... is that what you're on? Shimano Scylence stuff?
Honestly not sure if this is the Scylence, but it's pretty silent except at super low speeds, so maybe!
Cool vid, but man your bike is making a lot of noise. Sounds like drive train or linkage creaks.
I hope you rode the white line while you were there.
Can we expect a white line video soon?
Are you using a power meter on any of your bikes??
All of them! We use the Stages Cycling meters!
We have Peccary’s at the zoo I work at. Let me know if you are ever in the Palm Springs area and I’ll give you a tour.
How did you find Fruit Punch???? We have been drinking Lemon Lime for 3 months now and still cannot find the Punch anywhere.
You can order it from their website!
Interesting that you choose the Jet over the Rip
Being a bit smaller and lighter, I figured it would be a good choice for a really long ride. That being said, the RIP pedals so well, maybe it would have been the better option...
Its much more fun on a hardtail !
Real men does hardtail, done over 19k km on my old old mtb now 😀
thats rough riding..nice
what glasses do you wear?
Those are the Shimano Technium: bit.ly/2HVJyhA
Epicentre? What are you allergic too? 😷(just a nurse asking)
Juniper! Gets me every year at this is time!
He's also deathly allergic to wasps which is why he carries the epi. Luckily we both read the comments because I don't think he understood what you were asking 😂😂
Epicentre threw me off! I thought we were saying something about maybe my sneezing was because I had coronavirus #seeingcoronavirusineverything
Hmmm 🤔 Epicentre? I did type Epipen..... damn autocorrect 😝😝 stay safe 👍
Know you are missing riding with Syd. Heal Syd,
I love hardtails. I got to say my hardtail is by far faster and climbs way better than my full suspension bike. I run a 2x10 10 speed xtr drivetrain. I find 2x10 better range.
Not sure about those glasses bro! Red and white?
It's a fashion disaster.
If there ever was a hardtail car it's the Miata....miss the one I had what a blast to drive!!
ice? I would have been like"f... that"

You just cannot beat a quiet hub. Fact
Steve is the jon lovitz of UA-cam mtb, same type of voice too, Jon lovitz jr.
If you fall and get injured you have to go to the hospital...Ask yourself this... Is this a place where I want to be right now??? Think about it...
