To this day whenever I’m playing anything team based that requires capturing or obtaining objectives, be it paintballing or even just a game of Battlefield online I always say “I must possess all, or I possess nothing!” All because of Skeletor since childhood, long live Frank Langella.
I remember the shot at 0:41 from when I was a kid. That's Skeletor being a badass, walking through laser blasts in a heated battle and not even caring, only focused on his goal of total domination.
I think I remember Langulla saying that he considered this role one of the best he ever did. Either way, without him, this movie wouldn't have been nearly as epic.
I mean seriously, this film looks great for 1987! I love films of this era anyway I grew up with 80's si fi and these are wonderful imaginative movies...Frank Langella gives a stage perfoance in this film and nobody puts it down to this day cuz it holds up.
I like the way it was shot :) Ii like the shots and the overall look of the film mainly in Eternia. I mean, the going to earth storyline cut out would make it better I supposae but that is also the type of plotline you see in thse old 80's films which I love. :P
sounds good, i was probly thinking they'd have a completely CG He-man lik what they did in Beowulf. i guess u got some good ones, Lena Heady would deffinately be good.
@phaedruslive Nah. Arnold would look like shit. Dolph`s low point in the movie is the voice, and Arnold sure as hell would not have make that better. Dolph at least resembled the part, in an uncanny way.
why didn't they use the real henchmen or real costumes? Because then they woupd have to make custom costumes weapons and props.. this way they improvise and save money. :-)
Also its the standard trope of having the henchmen in matching uniforms with faces covered. That way a small number of extra's can be used over and over again in different shots, but to the audience it seems like there are hundreds of henchmen in the movie :p
"I must possess all, or I possess nothing."
What a great villain.

Frank Langella is so criminally underrated in this role. He was an amazing villain!
He's an underrated actor period

YES U ARE SKELETOR!
My favorite part! The original Mr. Give No Fucks
I can't even recognize Langella in that make-up!! LOL His voice is so powerful.
It was a delightful touch that the "woosh" noise when the grapple pops back through to grab the key was the same noise they used in the cartoon.
Makes you wonder why the stormtroopers were so willing to lay down their lives for a megalomaniac
“No, I won’t leave her!” still gets me right in the feels 😢
Long Live the 80s !
I love effects from the 80's. To this day Terminator 2 effects are still state of the art to me.
When I was a kid a always found it hilarious when Skeletor says 'stop him' and then it cuts to Teela jump through the door 🤣
Arguably the best over-the-top live-action villain ever. “Find them! Trace them! ... I must possess ALL, or I possess NOTHING!” Epic!

Trošku spomienky na detstvo sa vynárajú 👌
Why am i attracted so much to women vilains from 80's fantasy movies?
fantastic movie...brings memories back
Have to admit, the laser beams bending as they hit the portal is a neat touch.
0:55 I always appreciated them using a sound effect from the cartoon
I agree! This movie holds up for me.
Skeletor: He-Man Still Lives And Possess That Key! I Must Possess All, Or I Possess Nothing! FIND THEM!
This movie was so cheesy, but its the good kind of cheesy.
Langella was a single rose in the pile of feces that is this movie. He plays the perfect bad guy.
The Galactic Empire called. They want their minions back.
And it got sent straight to Skeletor's voice mail.
come on be honest now the only actor in the 80s that could have done he-man any justice was dolph lundgren
That's right. Langella is under that make-up

Mainly do to budget reasons
goodmovie brings back a lot
“Stop Him!” 0:32
I love this movie i grew up with it. Will somebody please post the whole movie?
UMM you don't have to admit CUZ bak in 1987 this was state of the art so lick it
Awesome!
he mad!
LOL at 1:45.
@Scrabbler27 what happen to orco (the little red floating wizard) He's not in this movie?
Budget cuts there was no money to do elaborate sepicial effects
err. arnold maybe. . .
they need to make a new HE-MAN movie. Have it include the Snakemen and use CGI. Also have a better script and cast the right people!
No
sounds good,

Lena Headey actually did play Evil-Lyn in Revelation.
@@jaysonhodges7154 yeah I did notice that, she did a good :)
it coolll man....thanks!
ill second that!
Is Skeletor based on Jacob Rothschild?
is that Bill Nighy ?
Frank Langella

Since when do the Storm Troopers work for Skeletor?
These guys are more like if Stormtroopers and Navy Troopers (the guys with the big Dark Helmet type helmets) had kids.

I dunno, I kinda like the black-armored robot soldiers. They're some of the cooler Stormtrooper ripoffs I've seen in a movie.
It was because the toy company didn't want He-man to be seen killing anyone.
@phaedruslive i dont think so
LOL
@Patrizier84
Le problème, c'est que ce fut le seul bon acteur du film
