Hey Bob, as an HVAC guy, it'd serve you better to not shut off your AC. 20% of your run time is going to be dehumidification. By turning it off and then on again the ac has to basically start from scratch. Keeping it on but setting at a higher temp when unoccupied will help with shorter run times when occupied, as the ac doesn't have to work as hard on dehumidification and doesn't have to run as long to satisfy the thermostat.
Hi Bobby and all, we are very pleased to see the pond being dug out. What a lovely place it will be when it's done. You might even get mallard and his mate back in it - we hope so!! We did get out opening morning. The geese didn't play well dropping short in fields far away. The ducks were abundant over the geese decoys but we didn't shoot them at the minute. Malc took two grey geese out for dinner. We could have had a lot more but when you get older, Bobby, like us, it's just nice to see them flying around! Take care stay safe and enjoy the new pond. Malc and Ann (England) UK xx
Love the furniture setup so everyone can see each other while talking and hanging out. You should call it "The Roost". Love the idea of cattle and being self sufficient. More money in your pocket in the long run!
Hey Bob, if you drill for a well, you can put some type of drainage in so you can control the water level, so you can plant millet or corn then flood it! Just a thought. Keep up the great work.
I would dig it deep in the middle and add a flood plain to plant millet or something. Then add a well so you can flood it and control the water level. If you add fish, you might want to add some structure under the water. Cattle is a really good idea. They will seal up a pond. Once you get ducks in there, they help to seal it up too.
Podcast with Garrett about the pond and his career! Awesome to see you making a pond Bob, looks like it will be awesome and in the perfect location if they use those roost.
1 cow per acer add a stock tank for clean fresh water with a shade over it for the cows if not they get sick during the summer months from bacteria growth in the water
Looking forward to seeing the pond develop for you! Pretty cool! Bobby, you might want to check out some of the videos on UA-cam that River Refuge Seed Company has posted. Dave Rogers and his family in Oregon have developed numerous ponds for farming waterfowl attracting plants on their large ranch. Might give you some ideas or maybe some info on what types of plants you can use in Kansas to draw in the waterfowl About 25-30 % of the seeds fall to the ground during harvest of fields at River Refuge and in the fall provide feed for thousands of ducks and geese. This makes for some great hunts !
Best of luck this season, my 7 years old son loves watching you, specifically the videos where you hunt with your son. Got him a 410 and i was able to find 2" shell, what i used growing up overseas. One day, I will book a trip with you for sure...
Wanted to post an update. A few videos ago I said I had a family member battling covid. Wanted to just let you know that he didn’t make it. Thanks for the prayers Bobby. Keep the videos up!
That will be so cool to have your own pit blind in your own pond behind your house That's been a goal of mine if covid-19 wouldn't have hit I would have started digging upon this year hopefully next year or two but yeah my own pit blind on my own property can't wait congratulations on your pond looks great You're going to have lots of fun Great job enjoy
I would suggest a well. If it does get to low for what you want you can add to it. You can go solar to control it better or wind. Also if you are going to get a bigger boat. Put it on a give away.
Might be able to get an agricultural well ?idk about Kansas but in CA we can get ag wells , happy for you bob , can’t wait to see the memories you make at the pond , ps Preston should dress up as a goose and jump into the pond.
As for the lodge, the coffee table seems like it is inaccessible now in the giant circle of couches. No place to set my cup or lean over and look at the coffee book! You may pull the table closer to one side and grab a few side tables OR put the couches into more of a square shape first. Then have the table on one side and a couple of side tables and make it easier to have paths to walk in and out of the "square". Just a thought.
you caused me to go back and look and I concur. The center coffee table is useless in this situation. There should almost be a sparce coffee table at each couch to hold a guests cup, mug, bottle, class, or plate. Additionally that would minimize spills with a person being forced to hold or improvise an unstable resting place for said vessle. Good eye.
Peterson-Mcnett Drilling out of Lindsborg, KS can get you hooked up with a water well! I’m from lindsborg as well and know Garrett! Pretty neat set up you will have!
Preston is right frp(fiberglass)is heavy but it would work a bit. I had a similar issue with a small boat and over sized motor. Putting side mounted pontoons on it would make it float higher and be more stable at the same time. It's kind of like sportspal or Mayer canoes.
look into miniature cows, you can raise more per acre and you can sell calves for good prices and stud out a bull if you get one. You can have another stream of income as well as meet the requirements for hunting on the pond.
Since there will be a pit blind on the pond, if theis video gets 5k likes ole Preston should have to wear a camo dress for the first hunt and wear those nice yeezy v2’s. 😂
For cattle Ya Gotta look at the amount if clients you have to feed every year, then how many in your family to feed then find out how many cow's per acre of land it will hold then go from there, next your pond!? Welp planting for fowl is key, after that since the cows gonna poor in your pond, wellllll it might not be advisable to eat the fish if you stock it, cow poo in the meat of the fish! Last make it a perminate wet land. Very last the limousine cow is the best steak I have eaten, my friend gramps, raises them he got like 60 acer of land got like 30 head on it. And they ain't nothin wrong wit your lodge. Comfortable Seating is the best and always a welcome sight after a good cold fowl hunt.

With this new pond Bobby is going to be whacken and stacken this season
That pond is so sweet! It’s going to be cool watching it transformer into town a legit duck and goose pond. Congrats!
Man Bob, you’re livin the dream! How unreal is it going to be to hunt your own property!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
man it’s a dream come true honestly. Thanks man
Preston need to cannon ball into the pond while he hollers HERE Fred!!! With multiple camera angles.
The way you have the couches set…. Call it the DUCK RING!
Needs more side tables to put your beer down since there's no cup holders built in.
The kill hole
Hey Bob, if you drill for a well, you can put some type of drainage in so you can control the water level, so you can plant millet or corn then flood it! Just a thought. Keep up the great work.
If this gets 5000 likes. You Should do a duck/goose call giveaway with some DUX apparels.
i can do that!!!!!
Use “Duck Poop” for your kids on the pond! With a trolling motor of course! The pond looks awesome!
It will be a good place to test that boat you are trying to build. And a nice place to camp.
true
That’s a really good plan you got going on with the cattle bob! Self sufficient 👍🏼

That’s a badass seating arrangement! I love it!
Preston should wear a pink toto when he jumps in the pond.
😂😂😂😂😂
Bobby I've been waiting for you to do this on your property for so long! Happy to see you made the move
Some of those coffee tables that the top can raise to over the couch would help with the dinner situation.
1 cow per acer add a stock tank for clean fresh water with a shade over it for the cows if not they get sick during the summer months from bacteria growth in the water
Lol i love the "stay in there" when u first got to the pond. Sounds like me 😄🤣
That pond is deep! From the top view it seemed like maybe a few feet, you get in it and it’s deep lol this is going to be sweet!
Really enjoying the video, I can’t wait to do some of this on my new property here on the Trinity River in Texas! Looking good!
Floaty race, Bobby vs Preston . One man on a goose floaty and the other in a duck floaty
keep your well head at the top of the water line and you can run it in the winter and keep majority of the pond open!
oh ya
Good thing I like watching pond builds. Haha. There's alot of them lately.
Bobby, Flair and Bamabass? The Bamabass pond is a super undertaking, but real interesting. can't wait to see the final ticket price.
@@billwhite7099 flair just needs a real estate company - bux properties inx. 🤔
@@jordanstark2454 yeah, I'm just glad he's spending his money more wisely. They ain't making anymore land.
I cant wait for the duck season to get here in a few weeks
The couch set up is awesome. It looks amazing

I have seen his work - it’s fantastic.
I’d put a well down and keep it capped, that way you can keep it planted and just flood it when you need
epic couch circle, my kids would parkour the crap out of that! 🤣
Thank you for posting the great video after my bday!
Plus you got me ready for dove season
Best of luck this season, my 7 years old son loves watching you, specifically the videos where you hunt with your son. Got him a 410 and i was able to find 2" shell, what i used growing up overseas. One day, I will book a trip with you for sure...
I think you came up with the next shirt! Dux & Nux!
See if he can build an island in your pond, the birds love islands!!!
Come on peeps give em some likes! Always my dream when I had land to build my own duck pond…
Wanted to post an update. A few videos ago I said I had a family member battling covid. Wanted to just let you know that he didn’t make it. Thanks for the prayers Bobby. Keep the videos up!
oh my goodness i’m so sorry ron hear this
You should plant a bunch of sunflowers and ditch weed in the area. You'll have a tone of dove coming in.
Make p-diddy be the dog for the first hunt on your new pond
Missed this video the pond looks great you did good on this pond
Put in the well with a water control structure on the deep end. That way you can pull it down to plant millet and still be guaranteed to have water.
Give Bobby a like for all the hard work and dedication he puts in for all of us and his clients👍💚 doing great brotha

Decoy giveaway at 5k! My son will be 4 in January and his little brother will be here by the 14th! He said my baby brother needs decoys too dada😂😂
Seating looks fine brother.. put some pillows and blankets on them or sumthin to give it some uniformity.. if that makes sense
Plant that hillside in wheat and load it with black and whites!
oh boy
5,000 likes and you bring me hunting 😂, middle TN hasn’t been to hot lately
I would suggest a well. If it does get to low for what you want you can add to it. You can go solar to control it better or wind. Also if you are going to get a bigger boat. Put it on a give away.
Looks good Bob.
if it gets 5k likes, do a dux giveaway where the winner can pick a bunch of stuff up to a certain solar amount y’all set
Dude this is gonna be so sick !!!
Might be able to get an agricultural well ?idk about Kansas but in CA we can get ag wells , happy for you bob , can’t wait to see the memories you make at the pond , ps Preston should dress up as a goose and jump into the pond.
Lets go! Hit that likebutton🙌🏼
Looking great Bobby 👍
I would move the single recliners closest to the TVs. Other than that it’s great
That’s what I was thinking
Bob, G-Wagon and Preston need to have a swimming race across the pond in cupped DUX camo shorts and the looser buys drinks and dinner that evening.
wooooo the dreammmm! way to go bob!
check the clay or silt. place in a jar and swirl, sand and silt will settle in 2 hours, clay remains suspended, good luck in filling it up with water
You should ride one of your cows into the pond
That roost is insane, by the medora turn. I wish we could hunt that thing lol. But the house right behind it and the cattle kinda mess that up.
You are living my dream!

For 5,000 likes Preston has to paddle around the pond on a flamingo floaty
perfect
5000 likes and you both use 20g or 410’s for opening day duck or goose!
Finally bro. You deserve it.
Bobby, you need a BIGGER boat. The Coast Guard would put you in jail!😊
I like the couches.
i appreciate the feedback homie
Love your vids man
Could name the pond smack and go like a restaurant 🤣
hahaha
@@BobbyGuyFilms lol I'm so happy you actually seen it made my week thanks 😄
Also you should get clams, and stock it with walleye crappie and cats
Bob ya need cattle. It will help ya in all directions.
BTW the pond needs brush.
Keep on keeping on
I can`t wait till you put a tree stand in that tree in the edge of the pond and shoot some ducks from the tree stand. hehehe
do a polar plunge in the pond when its full in the winter
Daaaamn. This is amazing, good stuff bud. 👏
Limit guns on the pond to 28 and 410 only. Low noise and dont spook birds to bad. Call it the Cow Trough!!!
I say u bring back the Bobby goggles for a little bit bob
Preston is right frp(fiberglass)is heavy but it would work a bit. I had a similar issue with a small boat and over sized motor. Putting side mounted pontoons on it would make it float higher and be more stable at the same time. It's kind of like sportspal or Mayer canoes.
Awesome stuffs.. “ good kill zone” great looking pond
Yes finally I have been waiting for this one!
You have to get a moose head mount for the lodge
look into miniature cows, you can raise more per acre and you can sell calves for good prices and stud out a bull if you get one. You can have another stream of income as well as meet the requirements for hunting on the pond.

Just got done building my bass pond hoping it creates some waterfowl hunts
Also kinda biased but get red angus
Looks great

Bob I will get priddy a dog if he jumps in with the yezzeys
It is going to be lit. The best bro
Yo bob that cart is sweet
Where the glasses you use to wear couple years ago,,,,,those things where kick ass
Once it all gets figured out, make sure you get the action shot of P crushing through a cow pie in those yeezys
Furniture...I'd spread it out a bit so there is more access to get inside the ring and able to get up and get a beer.
Yes
Bobby and Preston have to jump in the pond in speedo’s when it’s done
Film a podcast from duck poop on the pond once it’s full in bathing suits with swimmies on no matter what time of year it is!
A good thriving pond needs to be spring feed or feed by a stream.
1 young bull and 4 heifers, you’ll only need to slaughter one a year for the lodge, but it’ll take you a couple years to grow steers for butcher.
do steers grow slower than heifers?
I need to do this in our wetlands with 3 springs that run down to it all year so no need for a well
