just did my first QSO Sydney to New Zealand on my QCX mini 40m rig. I also have a QCX plus 160m and QDX digi rig. My QMX kit is about to be commenced. I didn't know this came as a PLUS version ...looks awesome. Tnx fer sharing de VK2AOE.
Definitely, I love the sound of it, and once a variable bandwidth will be added to the firmware it will be even better. Just now bandwith is a little broad for my taste, I noticed that in the contest...
On 20 m, the QMX+ is putting out 3 watts at the moment. My antenna is a 2 x 13.6 m doublet with an automatic tuner in the feedpoint. And yes, it works really nice 🙂
Hi, thanks a lot for your kind feedback, I am glad you liked the video! The key is a Palm Pico Paddle Special edition - have a look at my QRZ page for info :-) Thanks and 73!
@@BluesmotherYou probably did. I must have missed it. Great job on the build by the way. I just bought the 2 QMX kits at Hamvention. Just prefer the compact size compared to the QMX+, but still a nice piece of kit.
I just ordered one. Looking forward to using it. QRP-Labs makes some wonderful kits.
Thanks for the video!
Fascinating and I love Jack. I can't wait to see your forth coming videos. Great stuff. Many thanks.

Thanks, Just got my QMX+ kit, will build it soon.
I would love to see this rig in action, you did a stellar job on the assembly. Tschuess, de AI5DD Joe.
Just bought one at Hamvention. I just hope it works after I finish building it.
Good choice, Hank! If you follow the instructions thoroughly, I think there should be no problem building your QMX successfully. Good luck!
Thank you for this nice video. Regarding your output table, does it mean that you never could reach 5w output on one band ? 73’. Stephane.
Thanks for the video, the radio sounds great! 73

I got my QMX+ kit in the mail on Saturday. I’m nervous to start.
Sounds great. Not crazy about the thumping when transmitting but guess you can’t have everything with a little rig like this 😅
Very nice video!
Mine is ready but does not work on 160 meter if i turn the tune knob it jumps to 3.200.00 MHz
Where do i get a key like that ?
Sounds like a real QMX. Fb. 😮
the same audio pops during manipulation as in QCX :(
hi, the key is 3d printed? can you copy the link of the files to print it? thanks LU2DVY
No, it is a special edition of a Palm Radio Pico Paddle. You can find a photo and info via my QRZ page.

You must have a decent antenna to work stations with 1.5 watts❤
