They want to force premium down everyone's throat and they're getting ready for Windows 12 they can keep Windows 11 I am still on Windows 10 perfectly fine Microsoft is EVIL I am debating on replacing it with ZorinOS and ditching Windows.
according to wiki its more of a downgrade from 23h2,, IoT Enterprise editions (LTSC and non-LTSC) have officially eliminated a TPM and UEFI requirement, and dropped the minimum DirectX version down to 10 (version 12 was previously required on 23H2).[5][7] The new IoT Enterprise LTSC edition drops the minimum required RAM down to 2 GB, and storage space down to 16 GB.[5][7]
I have a laptop with specs like this: • AMD Athlon Silver 3050u 2.30GHz • 8GB RAM 2400MHz (Dual Channel) • Radeon Graphics / Integrated • 2GB VRAM My laptop uses Windows 10, but I don't know what Windows 10 version I use, is 22H2 or what, I don't know? My laptop can be updated to Windows 11, so is it better for me to update to Windows 11 24H2 later or not (stay in Windows 10)? I would like to ask for your advice guys, because my laptop's specs are not high specs and are not very good.
Open a terminal or PowerShell session and type "winver." That will tell you if you have Windows 10 21H2 or 22H2. If your laptop is telling you it can be upgraded, go ahead and do so. You won't experience any degradation of performance.
Took me 3 month to learn how to debloat and remove microsoft telemetry disable forceed updates, remove unwanted packages like hyperv from 11 22h2. 24h2 is even worse with all the spying, ads and lack of ability to remove packages such as aix aka recall. Microsoft didnt make much positive changes in 24h2 vs 22h2 to make users happier but they made sure packages they ship with 24h2 are well protected from user being able to remove them. im switching to linux Mint after 11 22h2.
Given the previous H2 release time frames, I'm guessing 24H2 will be released around the end of September or the middle of October. But that is just my guess.
no change at all really, I Can't See the Difference Can You See the Difference? lol, just had to turn off auto encryption and copilot only pain i notices after installing the release preview of 24h2. if Home it turns on device encryption and pro turns on bitlocker,, only diff is home version can only encrypt the C drive,, pro can encrypt all drives even external.
Switch to ZorinOS they're trying to make Windows software work on Linux by default use the free version and you should be fine it's like Windows but basically Linux.
Yes with Win10 Pro or Enterprice (recommened). You will need to bypass TPM check and Secure Boost and install a clean copy using the options in the preburn setup menu. This will remove those boot checks and allow your mature system to run Windows 11 without activation resctrictions. Once you install, remove telemetry settings if still activated (it shouldn't since it's Enterprise Edition). Overclock your i7-4770k or i7-4790k to 5.4-5.5ghz for max performance, add 32gb RAM for future-proofing and you should be good for another 2 years on the tech curve. Those Intel processors have 4-cores, 8-threads and when paired with a strong 16GB AMD card or a 14-gen (v-min bios fix), you'll be good to for years in 1080p and maybe even longer. Many of those titles can handle 1440p resolutions in lower frame rates (45-70fps) at that resolution. Play around and extend the life of those 4th generation processors as long as you can for maximum savings and excellent performance.
MSFT announced some time ago that WMIC is being deprecated. See learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/wmisdk/wmic for details. PowerShell CMDLETs now replace WMIC commands.
Removing metro apps is fine, but why the hell they removed WordPad? its just a great alternative to MS Word, light, simple, free.

Glad to hear that.
7Zip integration is already in 23H2.
And BitLocker is too, enabled for C drive in 23H2.
THEY KILLED CORTANA 💀 nah but we already know they’re trynna replace her with copilot
If you have not already, give Copilot a try. It's pretty impressive.
