Historic Chevelon Bridge, Near Winslow, Arizona

Join Randy and I in True Blue as we explore Chevelon bridge, built in 1912 to span rugged and remote Chevelon Canyon on the Santa Fe Highway. Around 1920, the roadway was realigned to where highway 40 is now. The bridge was abandoned, but later restored in 2013.
This is a beautiful region, and full of interesting Arizona history. For me it’s also about the unique plants I find on my adventures. This time, I discovered a surprising amount of blooming and fragrant milkweed.
