Trunks's units have been notoriously lackluster/irrelevant (excluding SoH) even when they're primarily meant to assist Hybrids. The only Hybrids they want around are Gohan and his obnoxious daughter

Nah it could still be anything. People thought zamasu zenkai meant future for part 2 but that wasnt it. I wont be summoning so I personally dont care what the ultra is. I think they’re just trying to buff all the old lfs this anniversary.

Im not an expert with these guys since i didnt really play back then. But from what im assuming you want to stack damahe with vegeta and go to trunks. So maybe give vegeta 2x cds and for the first time he uses a card it fills switch gauge by 50% so u can possibly go from trunks to vegeta and once again to trunks in one combo and just burst them down and to help with ki issues make vegeta draw green when he enters the battlefield or if you are really scared limit it to 2 times

It's so weird how that God of War qoute suddenly became such a common phrase.
I wouldn't say they need too much. Card draw speed for Trunks and ways to draw cards for Vegeta+ ki recovery and their main flaw should be fixed. Oh and an extra 30 ki per tag switch so it goes up to 50 ki.

either ultra majin vegeta for the Vegeta clan tag or ultra fusion zamasu for the future tag

This makes me think something future is in the works now...I know we got VB last year for the upcoming time frame. But they gave us LF merged zamasu's zenkai, LF VB's unique, and now this. Maybe I'm overanalyzing, but future could be upcoming.

Nah, this equip is gonna be mediocre, we’ve seen how legends hates vegeta so much, why not zenkai? We all know the most recent LF plats were very underwhelming
Fater/Son Galick Gun is up there with Final Flash as a really cool moment that doesn't really do much because villains having regeneration/immortality is really really awful for the story
Finally, idk why they are allergic to give vegeta clan units a unique equipment, vegeta and trunks have been on life support since release and they are giving them one now? Lf super vegeta when?
On top of the usual damage and defense buffs, if the equip gives the Vegeta side a card-into-card effect to match the Trunks' blast draws and grants cover null for at least 5 counts every time they use a green card, then they'd be solid. Not exactly top tier, but solid nevertheless.
Also, the Trunks side gaining +70% Vanish Gauge restore on tag switch/green while the Vegeta side just destroys 2 enemy cards encapsulates the dynamic between both sides perfectly. Get a free extra vanish, or set the opponent back 2 counts tops; I wonder which one is more useful?
I strongly disagree when you said these guys are defensively bad. 2 disrupts and these guys, at least for me, start negating damage super early into an enemy combo
