Here are some suggestions ive been using and love. 1 Never use "Put on transfer list" or "Put on loan list". When you take over a club, most of the times they have a lot of deadwood. The first thing you do in a new save is sell 2/3 of the players, which is not realistic at all. By not forcing transfer and loan offers, you really have to rotate your squad and use players you would never use. And the most important part is, when you get an offer for one of your MVP's you'll really have to contemplate keeping or selling them. Another offer might not come anytime soon! 2 Try to only buy/loan players your scouts come up with. Don't use any website to know all the high potential youngsters. Your scouts should realisticly be the only source of information outside of your league. 3 Coming back to point 1, some players might not get any offers. If you dont want to keep them you'll have to wait for the contract to run out, which is going to hurt your manager rating. Frustrating I know, but realistic and challanging. 4 Do some research of recent transfers of the club your managing. For example, Barcelona has bought so many Ajax players. So if you're playing as Barca, buy Ajax players! 5 Change your AI sliders! Gameplay is always wack against the best AI's. Changing the sliders to have them make more passing mistakes will certainly make playing the matches yourself way more fun.
One of the best comments so far if not the best. I don't have the game yet because my PC is too weak but ill save your comment in case ill buy the game. Thank you so much
i've started career mode with Shakthar Donetsk this season, I put them in the Polish league with Dynamo Kiev. I am only signing and scouting players from former Soviet countries (except Russia) and youth players as well.
Retiring as a player then going into manager career mode doesn't give you the start options like regular career mode, you're forced to have default settings to the game/transfers/board expectations/etc. Really really annoying.
I started a career as Dirk kuyt in the belgian league and put out some restrictions - every match starting XI must consist of three acqdemy players - every matchday squad has to have to atleast six belgians - only the away matches and neutral venue matches are played and the home ones are simulated - using the money ball technique for signings and no player over the rating of eighty I am currently now in 3rd season and placed 2nd in the league
Doing a Bromley save with my favorite midfielder Aaron Ramsey as manager, youth focused scouting from Wales and England eventually Italy and France aswell (where he played) Signing talents/released players from clubs he played for and former teammates of his.
i am playing my manager career mode in FC25 with icons squad file, downloaded it from nexus mod. It is always a dream to play a career mode with past and current players and trust me it is so much fun
2 ideas I’m going to be doing is reviving Jose Mourinho managerial career using his old tactics, and then the next one is to make Wales a Euros/World Cup regulars, then get then to round of 16 consistently and try to get to 1 final or semi final (like there Euros run back in 2016)
I've been doing a save recently that's been a lot of fun. Started off as Thomas Muller player career, trying to win the title back and have a swansong last season. Upon retiring, I wanted to make him the next Ancelotti, winning multiple UCL titles but across multiple leagues. The other stipulation was that I could only buy players from teams I had beaten that season. Started with Genoa, and after 4 seasons managed to win the CL. Gone to Monaco now and in the second season it looks like I'll come up short in the League. It's a fun little project!
I’m playing a career mode as Rio Ave in Portugal and rebuilding through the youth academy by scouting only Portuguese’s speaking nations. It limits me to seven options with the obvious of Brazilian and Portugal, but I’ve also scouted in places like Mozambique, Angola, São Tomé, and Guinea-Bissau in Africa and East Timor in Asia.
One of my favourite things to do is start a save with only 32+ year old players, than gradually meet certain objectives to be able to slowly upgrade the team. By season 5, with everything pretty much going perfectly, you be getting to the youngsters and high potentials. It forces you to use players you'd never think about, and it's a challenge making sure you pick a team that this makes sense for. A complete rebuild, starting with some of most legendary players, and ending with the most promising, and having some players somewhere in between in the middle.
Just to add-on, a bit of a cop out if you Ask me, but this works well with the Saudi league teams. Just transfer the team over to your preferred league if you want, I don't feel like the stakes are high enough in the base league.
This year I’m doing a youth academy only save with FC Hansa Rostock since they’ve been relegated to 3.Liga while their rivals St. Pauli were promoted to the Bundesliga. I fell for Hansa Rostock because it’s my German brother-in-law’s club. When I was in Germany he took me to the derby in Rostock when they were both in the 2.Bundesliga (2 seasons ago) and Hansa won 2-0 with Varook scoring an incredible, once in a lifetime bicycle kick… IT WAS INSANE! On this game, I am doing an "academy only" save where a created club have over spent massively to get into England's league 2 and the FA have made an example of them slapping them with a 9 season transfer embargo. The team is classed as an experienced team so most are closing in on retirement, barely any budget and scouts are needed so selling some of the best players has to be done. Leave a team better off than when you got there. Make sure any key players to them have good time on their contracts where possible.
