Someone may have mentioned it already but that handle for the Corning Ware, I think it's so you can use it ON the stove top as well, like a pan/pot. My grandma recently blew my mind that you can use those on stove elements 😯
DL you are so right. I used to use that handle on my moms corning ware shallow pans to fry eggs or burgers in the 60s. she also had a clear mixing bowl it fit on to use it to boil potatoes or spaghetti. it was a fun littles gadget to have

My favorite gift was something my grandma got me. Every year, she gives a tote of nonperishable food items to the parent(s) of each family and some cash. This year, she included me and my cousins who live on our own in this tradition on a smaller scale. This allowed me to make my rent payment and basically save me from not just eating ramen until my next paycheck. I’m so thankful.
I got -towels -a bath and body works candle and soap -a hat and mittens -three Amazon gift cards -a Walmart gift card -a wooden bear with a resin design on it -a hoodie -black airforces I appreciate and loved everything honestly but seeing my babies so excited and happy opening their presents was the best gift of all
I highly recommend buying the metal version of all the attachment, the dough hook and such, because the coated one"s do eventually flake and it's not nice to have in your baking. As for me I really like the plain old wisking attachment, because I love baking and making things fluffy.

My very MOST USED attachment is the fresh prep slicer shredder attachment! I use it all the time! But my favorite that gets me excited is the pasta maker cause it makes so easy to make homemade pasta! They also have a ravioli maker attachment, I don’t have but that would also be cool!

I have one my great aunt made for me when I was a very young girl and the colors aren't as pretty as yours, but I still love it. My friend gave me a long granny gown. I was like what the heck?! Just had to write to let you know that the handle for your corning ware dishes is not for removing them from the oven. The handle is to convert your dishes into sauce pans, skillets and such for use on top of the stove. Believe me, I grew up seeing my mom and grandmother use their corning ware dishes that way, and used my own that way too. In fact, I used mine more on top of the stove than in the oven.

He will buy it for me every time for the next weeks. It's the small things. Sometimes I think he doesn't notice anything I do and then he gifted me my favorite face water. I was so surprised that he took notice of it almost being empty and then went all the way to the body shop to buy it.

The best gift I got though was surgery on December 8th to remove my gallbladder and improve my quality of life. All I could keep down without pain was dry toast and fruit for months and I lost 40lbs, I was very very ill before surgery. I ate a slice of pizza for the first time yesterday and NO PAIN. BEST GIFT EVER!

One of the sweetest birthday gifts ive ever gotten is a custom sweater made by my friends. I call my friend group a silly name & they took that name and designed a sweater with it & a logo they came up with. So now we all have matching custom squad photos :)... I honestly barely wear it though, its so precious to me

I don’t celebrate Christmas but the week before my parents got me a steam basket, dumpling “cutter” and a cookbook with recipes for the steam basket ^^ Also… 3:03 my mom used to make potato gratin in those dishes when I was younger… the good times
Also, I think the handle for the cookware at the start is actually so it can be used as a pan on the hob. It seems a bit fiddly to be doing that in the oven

OMG me and my family have a similar "cookie" jar!!! Those wore from a jar colection that imittated houses, mine has sugar written on it, but we put cookies. They got that as a wedding gift, so it's from the 90's and probably was a world collection, cause we are brazilians. Fun information about that jar, problably too much. (And yes, i teared um when i saw it, because of good memories with mom doing cookies)

An electric mixer is so not bougie. Everyone washed clothes by hand before washing machines existed. The brand is a little bougie but if I could afford one and baked as much as you I would absolutely get one. Plus they're a decor item and won't somebody think of the wrist! I love the colour ❤️
My aunt got the family together and bought me a neon green 4.5 qt stand mixer (like yours). I have only used the paddles that come with it. But the pasta attachment is the one I plan to get one day!

They make a kitchen aid paddle that has rubber scrapers on the sides. Great for any liquid batter you might be making. My favorite attachment by far.

i was so excited when you said we'll see a video of your dad doing the capsule wardrobe (i dont mean to sound creepy but i just love your dad so much!) but at 10:01 when you said dads are always so thoughtful on things we like sometimes, honestly i got very emotional bcs my dad isn't. he's a piece of shit BUT it reminds me of my grandpa so much i actually cried. idk what's got into me, he passed away over 10yrs ago but still, he's the person i felt most love from. that's why i really love watching nice dad like yours, eventhough i can't have one. it's good to know there are nice dads out there who isnt a piece of shit and ruined their child's life.

One of the sweetest birthday gifts ive ever gotten is a custom sweater made by my friends. I call my friend group a silly name & they took that name and designed a sweater with it & a logo they came up with. So now we all have matching custom squad photos :)... I honestly barely wear it though, its so precious to me

When you sift flour it makes it lighter and fluffier and easier to mix. Sifted flour is so soft and pretty.

OMG me and my family have a similar "cookie" jar!!! Those wore from a jar colection that imittated houses, mine has sugar written on it, but we put cookies. They got that as a wedding gift, so it's from the 90's and probably was a world collection, cause we are brazilians. Fun information about that jar, problably too much. (And yes, i teared um when i saw it, because of good memories with mom doing cookies)

I love the vintage Corning ware. I have my mom’s Pyrex bowls she’s had since the 60’s. They’re still quite valuable! I cook with them often.
An electric mixer is so not bougie. Everyone washed clothes by hand before washing machines existed. The brand is a little bougie but if I could afford one and baked as much as you I would absolutely get one. Plus they're a decor item and won't somebody think of the wrist! I love the colour ❤️
Sifting flower is great but with your wrists I would only do the dusting. There are automatic sifters which you can get for flour, now they are extra.
I totally get the scrub mommy/daddy want. I've wanted one forever and they only seem to be cheap and common in the states 😢😩
My aunt got the family together and bought me a neon green 4.5 qt stand mixer (like yours). I have only used the paddles that come with it. But the pasta attachment is the one I plan to get one day!
