Scene 1
(Nina is standing in front of a grey wall. They wave hello and turn to the camera and start signing in ASL.)
Nina [signing in ASL]: Hey! Remember Deaf Deaf World? It's on Saturday, June 1 from 10am to 2pm. The event is free or by donation. All donations will go to Wavefront DeafBlind Services. Also, we have a mysterious and generous donor who will match donations up to a total of $1000! Wow!
Scene 2
(Now there are 3 people standing in front of the grey wall. Nina is on the left, Lynne is in the middle, and Sepehr is on the right. Sepehr is wearing an inflatable dinosaur costume.)
Nina [signing in ASL]: Remember, this is a "voice off" event. If our dinosaurs catch you speaking, they will take you to the "speaking jail", where you will have to learn a new ASL sign.
Lynne [speaking English]: Well, that's a wrap!
(Nina turns to Lynne and looks shocked. Lynne realizes that she has spoken and looks embarrassed and surprised at herself. Sepehr, wearing a dinosaur costume, puts a hand on Lynne's shoulder, then takes her arm and leads her off screen. Nina turns to the camera and wags a finger.)
Scene 3
(Clovis is standing in front of a grey wall with high stools forming a half-circle against the wall. This is the "speaking jail". Sepehr leads Lynne into the speaking jail. Sepehr stands half off screen.)
Clovis [signing in ASL]: Welcome. I'm going to teach you a new sign. Once you learn the sign, you can leave. Ready?
(Lynne nods yes.)
Clovis [signing in ASL]: Dinosaur! Dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaur.
Lynne [signing in ASL]: Dinosaur?
(Lynne looks a little confused. Clovis nods in encouragement. Then Lynne looks back at Sepehr and points at him questioningly.)
Lynne [signing in ASL]: Dinosaur??!
Clovis [signing in ASL]: Yes! You are free to go.
Lynne [signing in ASL]: Thank you!
(Clovis and Lynne wave goodbye to each other.)

Scene 1
(The title card appears. It says "Directions to Deaf Deaf World").
(Lynne is standing in front of a big VCC sign outside Building A, at the Broadway campus. East Broadway, a very busy road, is in front of her. The rest of this video is signed in ASL. There is no audio.)
Lynne: Deaf Deaf World will be at Vancouver Community College (VCC) at the Broadway campus in East Vancouver. I will show you 2 ways to get to Deaf Deaf World. Here is the first way. Behind me is Building A. In front of me is East Broadway. Come on, I'll show you how to get to Deaf Deaf World from Building A.)
(Lynne walks towards the East Broadway entrance to Building A and enters. She stops in the lobby.)
(Note that all segments where Lynne is walking and not signing are sped up.)
Lynne: You can go down the stairs behind me, or you can take the elevator. Let's take the elevator.
(Lynne walks towards the elevator and pushes the button to go down.)
Lynne: We're currently on level 4. We need to go down to level 2. There is an overpass connecting Building A and Building B at level 2. We need to get to level 2 to enter Building B. Building B is where the event space is.
(Lynne waits for the elevator, then enters. The elevator goes down 2 floors and she exits.)
Lynne: Now we're on level 2 in Building A. Building B is over there. Let's go.
(Lynne walks across the overpass to Building B and enters.)
Lynne: Now we're in Building B. Wonderful! But we're on level 2 and we need to go down to level 1. These are the stairs, but you can alternatively take the elevator down that hallway.
(Lynne walks down the stairs 1 level.)
Lynne: We have arrived! Yay! To my right is the event space.
(Lynne gestures to the event space to her right and walks over. She does an energetic jump and there is a freeze frame.)
Scene 2
(Lynne is standing outside Building A, at the VCC Broadway campus. East 7th Ave is in front of her.)
Lynne: Now I'll show you the second way to get to Deaf Deaf World. In front of me is East 7th Ave. Behind me is Building B. Come on!
(Lynne walks through the revolving doors to enter Building B. There is also an accessible door next to it. Lynne stops in the lobby.)
Lynne: Over there is the elevator. Here are the stairs. We need to go up 1 level to get to level 1.
(Lynne walks up 1 level of stairs.)
Lynne: Here we are! We've made it to the event space!
(Lynne gestures to her left and walks over. She does an energetic jump and the scene fades to black.)
(The closing card appears. It says "See you there!").
