This left me wanting to hear more from Tim Anderson. Him saying that he hung out by himself when he got to the league really struck me. Wonder how many other players in baseball from his background also felt alone.
Same! I was just saying that has to be tough on him. Just never know what people are going through. Hopefully the work he’s doing on himself will help with things
I love the fact of how they are all supportive of Bria and I notice a lot of the baseball players wives like her too. He better stop hurting that woman cause she is a good woman
I love this…shout out to Bria, the Kids, the Therapist and Tim for his willingness to admit it and get help. We all have done wrong, he’s just on tv. Sometimes the explosion is needed for us to stop and be held accountable. I’ve been each character in this story, praying for there healing.
Thanks Pivot for also acknowledging that Tim is married to a great woman. Educated , beautiful, runs a business and is a good mom. I hope this interview was seen by her next husband!
I spent my childhood with both parents in prison and i had to live with my grandmother and aunt. I was always embarrassed about having incarcerated parents, so it feels cathartic to hear them talk about their experiences and sharing that feeling of “feeling like a burden” to other family members. I know it too well. Even as an adult I push myself to be independent just to avoid that feeling. This is a good interview.
Great episode, I can see Ryan's deep empathy for Tim in his facial expressions in a kindred way and hoping that Tim can read what his soul is telling him as a mentoring spirit. That was amazing to see.
For a team and side of the city that often gets ignored, overlooked, or straight up disrespected at a national level, Tim put the White Sox and, as a result, the Southside of Chicago back in the conversation in a positive way. He gave us an opportunity to finally showcase our love for this team and city on a national level. We don't get an opportunity to do that very often and for that I appreciate TA. Always thankful to anyone with the courage to share about themselves in the bad. Best of luck to you and your family, Tim.
TA gave me a great moment with my father at the Field of Dreams game. I know he’s going through a lot with him not playing up to his own standards but I will never throw shade at him. I’m forever thankful for him. Cannot wait for this episode ❤
Theres so much strength in vulnerability and I love how all of these men are finding healthy ways to showcase emotions and vulnerability as men. We all make mistakes and deserve grace. Its all about accountability. Love this interview
Deep and Hard Conversation and The Pivot crew did a great job of making it comfortable and supportive and big salute to Tim for listening, accepting and taking it all in with poise. Loved this episode!
Thank you, Ryan, for giving Tim the truth about trust in his relationship! It takes a lifetime and a change of priorities and a trust level in yourself to do the right thing when no one is looking and the bright lights aren't on!
This is a good interview and I understand why it was needed, I just wish we learned more about Tim Anderson the player and his upbringing rather than what he did in his personal life (as he’s one of my favorite players and I really don’t know that much about him). But again, I understand why this needed to be done first and the significance behind it, hope he can come back on and tell more of his life story!
You must wasn’t paying attention then he talked about what he was comfortable talking about he spoke on his upbringing, his family/father,the difficulties dealing with being a black man playing baseball and to me it seemed like he wanted to do this interview to clear the air on the things that’s been going on in the media about him what more could you ask for
Amazing interview. S/o to the pivot podcast. As a black man and black father i find the show very therapeutic and real. Mush appreciated, keep up the great work guys

Been trying to avoid the rumors and drama out of respect for the situation. I appreciate being able to hear TA's life perspective from his heart. Good stuff
What an excellent interview. This was the perfect environment for Tim to address the scandal and get it out of the way. Very nurturing. I don't know these men to call them by name, but the two oldest ones were so knowledgeable and willing to share the wisdom with genuine love. Awesome!
Great interview. It's hard to make mistakes in public. I hope he understands that the wealth he obtains can't be increased with multiple outside kids. I hope he continues to grow.

Tim isn’t perfect, but he’s carrying more than we see. He’s carrying more than he may even realize. God has a plan for his life and is carrying him. I’m rooting for him to continue healing, taking accountability, growing professionally and personally. Shout out to you brothers for providing a safe space that allowed this young king to tell his story, be authentically Black and not be judged. Black men convening, while engaging in important conversations is what The Pivot provides.
Black people loved Baseball so much that WE HAD OUR OWN LEAGUE WHEN NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY MLB!! There are numerous reasons why Black people are not WELCOME in Baseball but if Black people are more involved the sport will see tremendous growth.
What a great guy. Tim Anderson, not only I’m I fan of the White Sox but I’m a fan of you. It would be a tough to see you leave Chicago but I will continue to follow in your career no matter what. You are a true inspiration not only on the field but as a man.
The interviewers seem to be men who have done “the work” . They spoke more highly of Bria than her husband during this interview . I understand life has its ups and downs as does marriage but I can never understand how the “l was going through a lot and lonely “ is the excuse for cheating . He had a wife and two girls and was lonely . Then had a side chick , around her kids and a new baby. Did that change the loneliness or only added to “all that he was going through” . He talked of all this new drama with his side chick blasting their business like it was nothing . Never calling her out . Never really apologizing or showing remorse for his wife . He is playing both sides even in this interview . Why bother coming on to talk and not say much of anything lol
He's a cancer man. I know a few of them that have 2 families or should we say "live double lives" cancer men love & need to be emotionally stimulated. His wife was probably lacking in that area. His wife is a business woman & she's taking care of his children so she probably couldn't be there for him all the way. I feel like that's where deja his "side chick" came into play. He needed a quick fix that he couldn't get from his wife.
