Nice work! I'm dying to see a full cycle of towels on a boil wash, which would also help to validate your handy work on the elements.
Before anything though, I think you should do a boil wash cycle with citric acid. I won't use anything else to descale my own machine.

They still wouldn't fit, it is not that big a machine!

Very interesting. I would use 2 elements, the left and the right one. It's enough but one a bit too low for that big machine. But a long wash bring better results as a too short wash. Maybe citric acid would help the rest of the small leaks go away.

How would citric acid help the leaks?

@@bootsowen excuse me for my English. It would help because sometimes the build up of limescale and detergent sprides the seals, because it has a lot power of that. Machines that are runs often of too low temperatures or cold happens these leaks a lot more often than machines which runs on high temperatures and 95 /90. So inside the seals and rubbers are clean and sits correctly on the outer drum so there is lower risk of leaks. I hope you understand my point.

It was a pretty simple one here Andy, a bodge using saved parts, no leaving the house or waiting on the post. 100% free

You have to hold the start button while selecting the cycle.

If you got water there the whole tub is dun, Those are dry wells, or at least should be, The elements are no more complicated than an old lamp or rather think of them as fuses that get hot and nothing more.

Give or sell it to an washing machine collector.
