Oh my goodness. My childhood from 1956-1971-happy place. The memories! I was a Swanson. The stairs to the beach were such a fun quest to the beach. The Christian groups for pre teen and teens had such great leaders. We only had two weeks every summer. That was my world. The rest of the year paled to the beautiful people and times at Bethany. My tribute honor and love to my Grandma, Ellen Sunstrom Swanson, married to pastor Richard Swanson, who led me to the Lord with her quiet God loving ways. She and Auntie Ruth Swanson Wickland, her daughter, were my heroes, mighty warriors of the Lord with their quiet loving demeanors. Truly great women. Truly great times.
That's wonderful! Tyler grew up in BB and goes there each summer to stay with his family. We didn't have a place up there until around 1972, so we probably never crossed paths.
Interesting to see the first little sandbar area across most of the shore along Bethany. Sure hope that’s a good sign of future beach area to sit on! Great job, Tyler!
