Calathea is one of my favorite plant..It is called prayer plant because you need to pray hard to keep them alive(lalo na sa mamahaling variety)...and not just praying hard but care it well..

Hindi man ako nagpray hard para mabuhay yong calathea ko pero dko talaga sila inu over water at direct to sunlight. Actually yong calathea na nasa right side nung sa vid ang dami dito nasa lupa lang at walang alaga pero dumami siya at malalaki hindi man namatay kahit hindi inaalagaan

Good thing napanood kita, kasi yung Calathea Dottie ko nasa may east side ng window, so maliwanag sya. Napansin ko na tumitiklop nga ang 1 leaf, so nilipat ko na sa medyo darker side ng living room. Thank you sa info.

i have almost 30+ variety of calathea to make it bigger and nice na dahon tas madali dumami ito gina gawa ko for soil. 1/2 normal soil+ 1/4 risal + 1/4 sa balat ng coconut tas mix with 1/8 cups of complete na abuno yong brown wag yong white. tapos halo halo mo lahat yan ginagawa ko sa soil sa calathea ko kahit sa obang plants pa yan para maganda daho at malalaki

Share ko lang din po na, if nag sstart na mag brown ung leaf ng calathea nyo at kung sa tingin nyo is hindi nyo naman sya nasobrahan ng dilig or hindi naman lack yung hmidity sa area, try to remove the plants from the soil at baka may damage ung roots ng plants nyo, try to trim aome of unhealthy roots at magigng healthy ulit ung calathea nyo 😊

Maraming salamat sa info regarding Calathea plant care. May tatlo na akong iba’t ibang type ng Calathea and ang gaganda talaga nila. I call them the ‘Diva’ plant kze you’re right: hindi sila pwede ng tap water Lang kasi nag kakaroon ng spot ang mga dahon nila kaya try ko filter yung tubig 🌈😉

Nice!! Galing ng explanation!! Isa sa magandang gawing collection ang Calathea...
Napansin ko din na sensitive ang mga dahon nila kaya iwasan mapatakan ng kahit anong liquid o solvent kahit konti ang dahon magko-cause ito ng dotted yellow color sa bahagi ng napatakan na magsisimulang makasira ng dahon.
Sa potting mix sensitive din sila...make sure na tannin free kung gagamit ng cocopeat para maiwasan ang paninilaw ng dahon.

@@roselorono7463 50 percent garden soil,20percent bark o yung mga balakbak ng puno, 20percent uling, 10 perlite o cocopeat!! Make sure na wala nakahalong pataba o raw compost na makakabulok sa ugat ng bagong tanim na calathea.

Hello po! Share ko lang po yung tricks ko sa pagdidilig. I use aquarium water po kase bukod sa dechlorinated na may nutrients pa galing sa dumi ng mga isda. Tapos pagdinidiligan ko po siya is thouroughly hanggang sa may tumulo na sa ilalim to promote growth ng roots. Lastly, naka pwesto po sila sa taas ng aquarium kase nakakadagdag sa humidity yung air exchange sa aquarium especially malapit sa filter! Happy Plant Keeping! 💞
