Is there a video recording software that allows me to just save the audio? If I need to sync audio to a video but just need to deliver the audio file, it would be super neat if I could use that software to get the timing perfect. Is there such a software that is free perhaps?
You could always use a video editing software and then choose to only export the audio once things are lined up. That's always an option as well. As for free video editors, I'd recommend Adobe Rush, or if you're looking for more functionality, Davinci Resolve.
What kind of Microphone do you use? I bought this cheaper Comica microphone but I think it's more designed to be used with GoPro, DSLR, or Cellphone, so when i do the voiceover on Capcut (video editor), it doesn't sound great.

When you say I can record an over dub directly into video editing software, could you please recommend one or two software platforms that are free/easy to use? Thank you!
If you're just recording audio, I'd recommend Audacity, GarageBand, or ProTools Intro. If you're looking to record audio over video, Davinci Resolve, CapCut, Adobe Rush are great options

I hope my question gets an answer. So, I have a short video, about a minute, and I want to record my narration over it as I play it, freeze it, play it, stop it, etc. I want to do add narration as I play the video and record all of that. I tried different software, but none offers that possibility.
Hey Eldin, you can do it a couple different ways. You can export your video without audio, have that playback as you record audio separately. Similar to the setup in the video @ 0:21 where you have one window open for your video, and then your voiceover recording in another.
Another option would is directly through your video editing software. Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro have these options where you can record directly on to the timeline.

Hey Randy @voices Hope this reaches you. Thank you for your detailed videos. New subscriber here and would like to upload my first UA-cam but having challenges. My RAW saved videos are on Google drive, how can I transfer/ upload to UA-cam? Have heard how to add the voice over, but I am failing to find where to add voice over when I can't transfer the videos from the Google drive itself? Hope it is clear. Hey there, thanks for the sub! I think you may be missing the step of downloading the videos from Google Drive to your computer. You can then import those RAW video files to your video editor. Hope that helps!

You'll likely have more luck using a video editing software than an audio software. I'd look into something like CapCut -Randy

Do I add the voiceover after editing a video or before? or even between editing?
It depends on what you need for your project. Some people will record a 'scratch vocal' that they use to time their edits, then re-record a better voice over later.
if we wish to change our voice into different voices in a single video, how we can do that. Suggest any app for that

I have to edit and voice over a premade video from English to Spanish. There is background music in the video as well. How to edit, remove the English voice, and add my Spanish voice over not to disturb the quality of the background music? Which software is best for this purpose? Thank you so much in advance
I'm not entirely sure. There are a couple of plugins that would work to isolate the voice, but good ones can be quite expensive. If I were in your shoes, I would try to find the original music and replace it, then record the new voice. That way you're starting from scratch. Good luck with your project! -Randy
