2 Chronicles 18:1-34
Ahab was one of the wickedest kings of Israel, and Jehoshaphat could not have been ignorant of his character. Ahab asks Jehoshaphat to help him attack Syria. Jehoshaphat wisely requests that they consult the LORD on the matter. Ahab gathers 400 of his prophets who encourage the attack. Jehoshaphat recognizes that these are not genuine prophets of the LORD, and the exchange that follows between Jehoshaphat and Ahab is almost comical: “But Jehoshaphat asked, ‘Is there no longer a prophet of the Lord here whom we can inquire of?’ The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, ‘There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.’”
So, Micaiah is summoned, and the question is posed. Micaiah responds with high irony: “Attack and be victorious, for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.” This answer exasperates King Ahab: “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?” Micaiah then tells Ahab the hard truth: “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the Lord said, ‘These people have no master’”
In spite of what seems to be an acknowledgement that Micaiah speaks on behalf of the LORD, Jehoshaphat joins Ahab in the attack. Ahab is killed, and Jehoshaphat narrowly escapes. When Jehoshaphat returns home, he is reprimanded by a prophet of the Lord for his collaboration with Ahab: “Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, ‘Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you. There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God’”
Jehoshaphat makes reforms, appointing judges throughout the land to handle disputes and charging them to make righteous judgments and to fear the Lord.

The enemy were fighting amongst themselves.
This reminds me of a story of a woman who lived in an apartment complex. She was the only Christian. And she was so nice to her neighbors. However. You know how the devil works... they began to start trouble with her... making her life difficult. We decided to pray for the situation. And then low and behold they started fighting amongst themselves ... their circle of deceitful friends had been broken down. The devil will cause trouble. And will cause animosity amongst the people that he uses for his purpose. The child of God is protected
There are comedic parts in this story. Really glad I've stumbled into this chapter from my daily devotion.
Good Evening Fellow Christians, I hope you and pray pray that you are well. I am happy to bring you another great bible story from the Old Testament, this time I bring you Jehoshaphat and Ahab, who ignored God's message, and paid the ultimate price.

Hey that was pretty good! 👍
Is this Macaiah from the book of Micah? Are they the same person? I’ll go look! Found it! Not the same.
So just to us understand better, was the south the ones who were attacking the north? So they were never frightening that other king but themselves?
they wanted to fight the king but they ended up fighting themselves instead.
