Super nice session, we have a spot similar to this locally here in New Zealand, its called Orewa, and its a lot of fun!! I love severne sails, I have a couple of 2020 Blade Pro's, bigger sails are Gators and NCX, I have recently discovered how great Starboard boards are, I have a 2019 94L Kode and this week got a 2021 71 (109) Futura, I was sailing severne boards before and find the Starboard feeling is much more suited to my sailing style, super enjoyable boards to ride.....The ultrakode looks like its more wave than the normal kode?
Hi Kev. Thanks for the message. Great to hear you are using SB and Severne kit. The 94 KODE from 2019 is a great Board, and compared to the Ultrakode 93, it's planing earlier and has bigger range. Perfect B&J Board and also good in small waves. The FUTURA is probably the best Freerace Board on the market. Has the same rocker line ans the I-sonic just softer rails. Huge range and control. I was i NZ many times. Not to much in the Auckland area, more Wellington area and Taranaki. But also sailed in Dunedin and Invercargill. Yuo guys have so many places for Windsurfing. Just great. Enjoy you time on the water!!
@@robhofmannITA11 thanks for the reply!! Yes there are great spots everywhere around NZ for sure. After 3 sessions on my Futura 71, all I can say is WOW....Love it the same way I clicked with the Kode... Sounds like I have the right board in the Kode, our sailing is mainly B&J when things get gnarly, and its often gusty, not really down the line as such on perfect waves.... I may only need these two boards we'll see....
Nice session Rob, and good feedback on gear. You sail with limited profile and downhaul it seems
Enjoy
Hi Bert, the new sail has a softer material (VX2) and the sail is a bit more soft, but still has a big range!

Thanks for the video. Please could you give your weight Rob?
Hi Francois. My weight is 85 KG
@@robhofmannITA11 Thanks for your reply. Is this board volume-OK for your allround waveboard, or have you a smaller one?
@@francoisf195 I use tgis board for all conditions from 4.2 to 5.7 sail. For Bump&Jump I use the KODE 105 and 6.2.
@@robhofmannITA11 Thanks Rob. I'm around 10 kg heavier, so the bigger one should be a better choice, no ?
@@francoisf195 Yes Ultrakode 100 should be perfect! Or Kode 115 for Freewave
