Each week there are more and more people who claim that they are the Chosen One, and while its easy to simply ignore, perhaps its time we learned the Prophecy Test. Thank you, Rabbi for this lecture. It always amazes me about some people who claim to be prophets today. I know of one who goes on the internet and predicts. Has a following, sad to say.
I'm a prophet, test me now. There are more of us here than anytime in humanity. This is the "2nd coming" of the greatest prophet.
One of us will be chosen as Hamashiach depending on how we worship Hashem and live our lives. It's not determined yet

Thanks for the info Rav. Prophecy has always interested me as an Orthodox Jew.
Since tge Na'avim were mostly the chikdren of Na'avim, I've often wondered if it's handed down; generation-to-generation.
Well something is certainly "inherited", of nevuah, which is the reason the crown is inherited.
It isn't that a king's son becomes king and so he inherited the kingdom as a result. Rather, he inherited his father's portion of the Spirit, and that is what entitles him to rule.
The king and the Prophet have one thing in common: Ruach HaKodesh.
Nobody inherits the portion of the Ruach HaKodesh that had come to rest on a Navi. Therefore, a Navi is not broadly required to produce inheritors the way a melech is.
Ruach HaKodesh is no longer needed by the former king at the time of his passing, so the Ruach can dwell on the shoulders of the heir. In this way, the Ruach is like a "holy parasite". Over multiple lifetimes, one agenda.
The Ruach of a Navi must seek out a new host. The Ruach of a melech has a host already near.
Maybe whoever is standing next to Hashem under the chupah will be a clue.

First of all I never denied israeli association with the upper ashelon empire
L'chaim. God is my Father and rabbi. He spoke fifty sentences to me from above to my ear. His voice was kind and clear as a bell, alto. You're right it was like someone talking nice acoss a cafe table. His first nine sentences to me were 8.4.2015 in the morning. I was minding my own business and didn't really believe in God. I was raised very Jewish lite. I was sitting in the grass, drinking chai tea, getting ready to do a crossword puzzle in the newspaper. Behind the house is a woodland preserve, a pond, and a 7-foot hedge between the houses.
To my left in the hedge was a burning spider web that did not burn a little larger than my hand. Not flames shooting out, molike embers and lille fire.
Since then I have had many prescient visions that came true. That night towards 11pm I heard Tibetan music from the heavens that I knew no one else could hear. I'm just a mench. How anyone wouldcwant to be a Prophet does not know how much is involved. I sure didn't. God's first words to me were I'm sorry, ......You are the one. Take a leap. People have worked very hard. People earn what they learn. When you notice something there is a reason. Don't look shlumpy. Don't give anything away.

I literally had thousands of dollars in gifts appear on the beach behind the Rainbow Hilton, Waikiki. Nobody there knew me. 2 days after flying from Maui to Honolulu, I was robbed of everything I had with me while I was engrossed in reading by the Capitol building. I couldn't even remember phone numbers. I lived there for 4 months. I ended up being glad I got robbed.
God definitely has a sense of humor. I even worked on the editing of Jacob's Ladder starring Tim Robbins. It's a very existential film.
I have a great memory from editing work, I guess.
