You can also make soap with the roots, and if you wish, you can dry them for use as soap year round.

@@newjerseygarden From what I have seen from other people making it, you can use both the leaves and the roots, and dry them for use year round. I haven't done it myself, yet, as I don't have soapwort, but I'm trying to acquire some.

Thanks! They bloom for about 5 weeks in spring. They were planted from seed from Swallowtail Seeds.
