1987年，TVB處境短劇，羅嘉良、鄧碧雲、郭鋒 、嚴國樑、盧宛茵、沈殿霞、曾華倩主演，初期每集15分鐘，逢星期一至五晚在《歡樂今宵》時段內播放，本暫定200多集，後來反應良好，便逐漸加長集數和播放時間，最後共有389集。除了固定班子，劇中加入不少大牌藝人客串其中，比如萬梓良、鄭裕玲、梁朝偉、曾華倩、戚美珍、沈殿霞、張兆輝等，為劇情增加不少吸引力，其中鄧碧雲因為此劇媽打形象而深入民心，在家庭主婦羣大受歡迎，令鄧碧雲的戲劇生涯再創高峯。
故事的核心發生在唐家一門之中，唐泰(朱瑞棠飾)、唐仁(盧海鵬飾)、唐麗珠(盧宛茵飾)三人是異母兄妹。泰之母親因為遺失了一塊玉，指證仁之生母偷走，故仁之母親自殺而死，仁則視泰為仇敵⋯⋯

It could also be possible that fam. Tang have a big heart n maybe could be a big important lessons. They could be forgive her for all the wrong things she caused the whole family Tang. Maybe Mata believes,forgives n could give her daughter in law after all a new chance a new start.
Mata hopes she learned to recognize her baddest mistakes n never made the same mistakes again. MaTa is a very wise n open minded. She's really cool funky sweetest the best n the greatest grandmommy ever existed.

Karma was already waiting at the corner for a Pui's behaviors causing so much damage to the XL fam. Tang. That was exactly the PAYBACK modus of everything what she did. But it's too short to watch them punished her with just only 1 episode. Ummm😟☺
A Pui's mother is very selfish n only wanted to manipulate everyone n to abuse the others.
What she only cares about is the money n only talks about is money money money.
A Pui has a very worst black heart which always thinks about others very bad way.
Luckily everyone is different.

I don't like these 2 chapters. Ah Pui managed to lie her way back into the family. And I hate her mom! And the family accepted her back. Meg Lam (Tai Dee's wife is so professional, really salute her I like her character. The father-in-law is useless
