Highway Springs Campground - Rio Grande National Forest

Highway Springs Campground is right off US Hwy 160 outside of South Fork Colorado. With the proximity of the highway and several better campgrounds in the area, Highway Springs seems better suited for use as a 1-night stopover while passing thru the area or would be a good backup plan during the busy season when the other campgrounds may fill up.

Tewksberry Trail #842 is just west of Lower Beaver Creek Campground - Hiking, Biking, & Registered ATV's 50" or less
Cross Creek Trail #512 adjacent to Cross Creek Campground. There is also a .25 mile trail to the biggest Douglas fir tree in the Rio Grande National Forest
Beaver Creek Reservoir (300 acres) has a boat ramp. Trolling motors and wake-less boats are ok.

Directions:
From South Fork Colorado, head SW on US Hwy 160 for a little over 4 miles. The campground will be on the left.
