I do speed-runs on the side missions. It’s crazy east how you can run past literally every NPC or jet pack into a place and stealth your way in an out.
A better more reliable method, is to pick up missions to go hunt down crimson fleet ships, and wipe out all ones except the target one, and then use the targeting system to take out the engines. If you don’t have the skill, it but may take a bit longer because it’s a random system that’s effected, use EM weapons which are actually somewhat cheap, to disable engines. Then board and take control of the ship. Also a pretty good way to farm contraband and most crimson fleet ships have shielded cargo slots in my experience.
I did that at the very beginning of my current playthrough. When I was attacked in the beginning in route to The Lodge. I jacked the last Pirate for that Wardog ship. I have now upgraded the hell out of it. I'm a level 17 now and the ship is a beast.
DONT REGISTER STOLEN SHIPS THRU THE SHIP VENDORS!! They add ~20% to the cost. Register them yourselves by: Landing anywhere with a ship vendor. Entering your menu. Selecting your ship menu. I register them almost immediately and I strip them down to their most bare bones state using the ship builder and once they are at least flyable with their original parts then I turn around and sell them. It's important you don't add anything yourself as a player to the ship because if you add even 1 weapon to it it decreases the value price which you don't want.
@@akiral3g10n6what are you talking about. Been playing and I'm a pirate and miner.
