I love lazy gardening. It leads gardeners toward smart gardening. You do a great job showing that there might be a lot of work involved in the beginning, but it will pay dividends in the future with little additional effort.
Looks Amazing! But I wouldn’t call it lazy garden; it’s work efficient 😅 I’ve read on other comments you’re okay with bramble leaves and stocks, they don’t re-root Keep the good work
I plant my garlic into a bed with chicken manure, works a treat. Don't give your chickens hay, use straw! Hay gets mouldy and chickens developed respiratory problems! Well done 👍
Can I suggest that you update your Amazon page as some is unavailable and so can’t help to get bits, like kids gloves etc. thanks, sorry to point it out to you but if no one says you may not know.
Thank you for the suggestion, I think you might be the first person to look at that I've updated the list here Our Amazon Wish List www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3RYB8QRT9QP30?ref_=wl_share
@@MyFamilyGarden They don’t have the kids gloves you chose are the green dots one ok? If yes I will order for you and the kids to join in with the gardening
Really efficient system with the chicken bedding there Mothin 👍 - you’re going to have some fantastic soil in that bed! What will you grow there? Spuds?
Salaam, great video MashaAllah. What would be your next steps? Would you cover with cardboard and then plant into the ground in spring? I have access to horse manure and use pallet collars on my allotment. If I layer the beds with horse manure and garden clippings, would that be ok if I'm trying to avoid layering with compost?
We do get rats around the garden, some nested in my red greenhouse so i removed the hot bed in there for this year, the cat's do a pretty good job of keeping them away
I recommend you look at getting an azarda tool. It's like a heavyweight adz. It would be great for digging out the chicken coop floor and I also use mine for breaking down the cost heap when it is all compacted.
I've got one and used it as part of this but it didn't make the final cut of the video. I did a video about them, we call them Kudan in Bangla ua-cam.com/video/OwHNRbY3-v4/v-deo.html

I think(my grandad had an allotment) they are the old boundary walls for allotments before houses were built there,I have one at the side of my house that actually encroaches 20 CMs onto the footpath - the street.t but the council can't do anything about it because it's 60-70 years old

Hi Scott, thanks for popping by. Hopefully that bed should pay dividends in the long run
I learn so much from your channel. I had no idea that was mycelium! Now I know what's on my new beds and in my compost bins. Wow! Thanks so much.

don't underestimate bramble roots, monty. i've known the thorns to penetrate thick gloves.....................brian
i pulled out the roots, the ones i left on the top was just the leaves and stalks

I use straw i might have said hay but i meant straw
Great design chicken house😁. Wish I had space for chickens.
Use those dandelion roots for medicine.
Thank you
Garden archeology 🤣❤️
I would have trimmed the hedge then raked out the chicken run on top of the green hedge
Mothin, You made a right mess of that poor cats bed! Hope you fixed it up again, as you can tell, I'm a bit soft on cats😁.
He's back in there again, there's a couple of strays that live in my shed too

Haven't decided yet, we were going to plant spuds at the bottom of the garden in another bed i prepared
that looks to me like a perfect potato patch, half shaded good soil,I can imagime 50Kg coming out of that patch
I've got another patch prepared for potatoes, haven't decided what's going in here yet
I have a brick wall that runs across the whole of my back yard, about 18 inches underground
I think this is from an old retaining wall, the soil is different on either side
@@MyFamilyGarden mine has trash on one side of it.

😍New bed looks well tidy! And almost effortless, from 🐓 house to bed mulch 👏
I am not lazy. This video is not4 me
Slightly off topic. What's the Rat situation with your chickens. Do you come across many?
