The debt problem is spoken of like this by people who don't understand that debt is what makes modern economy work. As long as you can pay back the interest, which America can, because being a rich country means they pay very low interest, as there is little chance of them defaulting because they can't pay, then debt is what makes the economy work. Every country owes other countries lots of money. America owes so much because it is a very large, populous country. But it also has such a high GDP, that owing so much is not a bad thing. It has a very high credit rating, so pays minimal interest, as there is next to no danger of America defaulting.

I was shocked to discover Americans do not have paid holidays - in Canada, 2 weeks is mandatory and has been for years. Also, without universal healthcare, Americans are tied to their jobs, even if they hate them, for assistance in paying the premiums for their health care. We can jump from job to job not worrying about whether the family will be covered for health insurance. What a terrible load to carry. And no paid holidays - wow!

I know Americans made so many things but they didn't invent everything from the ground up. For example, they didn't invent airplane BUT they invented the first airplane that was able to successfully fly. Read about Wright brothers. Same goes with light bulb, they didn't invent it as a thing but finalized it (Thomas Edison who also invented phonograph and the motion picture camera by the way). Internet was invented by number of countries but made its finalized form in the U.S. (military) and made its way around the globe. Ford Model T was the first mass produced automobile. So I think it's fair to say that Americans didn't invent as much as finalize things. Same about democracy, capitalism and so on. Americans are not inventors, they are bringers to perfection. Which is really important because it made the start for things to make the way of evolution and become something we see today.

None of them even have engine !! Everything is a matter of good winds. Just to prove it was just a glider, on a plane/ultra-light, the proper ratio between the weight and the engine power (HP) is approximately 5.3 kg. The Santaos dumont´s 14 bis had 6kg for each horse-power Close, right? Well, the flyer had 28.5 kilograms for each pony of their engine, so they simply couldn´t fly, and they only had access to a more powerful engine in May 6, 1908, two years after S. Dumont flew .... That´s why it didn`t fly on its centennial day in 2003, frustrating all the crowd, all because it had no proper wind to glide. The debt problem is spoken of like this by people who don't understand that debt is what makes modern economy work. As long as you can pay back the interest, which America can, because being a rich country means they pay very low interest, as there is little chance of them defaulting because they can't pay, then debt is what makes the economy work. Every country owes other countries lots of money. America owes so much because it is a very large, populous country. But it also has such a high GDP, that owing so much is not a bad thing.

For example, they didn't invent airplane BUT they invented the first airplane that was able to successfully fly. Read about Wright brothers. Same goes with light bulb, they didn't invent it as a thing but finalized it (Thomas Edison who also invented phonograph and the motion picture camera by the way). Internet was invented by number of countries but made its finalized form in the U.S. (military) and made its way around the globe. Ford Model T was the first mass produced automobile. So I think it's fair to say that Americans didn't invent as much as finalize things. Same about democracy, capitalism and so on. Americans are not inventors, they are bringers to perfection. Which is really important because it made the start for things to make the way of evolution and become something we see today.

Even "Flying" 39 km is not impressive (if they actually did, cuz you can not come up with a photo and a video and say it was 5 years ago, lol). The patent of the "Flyer" 1904 was a glider without engine (very inspired by the German Otto Lilienthal glider by the way, a decade before), how to control a flying object. And yes, gliders already existed, but they perfected it.
Similarly, the world record of a gliding flight on a hang-glider is 764 km (American record), on a paraglider is 513 km (Brazilian record) and on a glider ( "plane without engine") is 3009 km (German record) !! None of them even have engine !! Everything is a matter of good winds.
Just to prove it was just a glider, on a plane/ultra-light, the proper ratio between the weight and the engine power (HP) is approximately 5.3 kg. The Santaos dumont´s 14 bis had 6kg for each horse-power Close, right? Well, the flyer had 28.5 kilograms for each pony of their engine, so they simply couldn´t fly, and they only had access to a more powerful engine in May 6, 1908, two years after S. Dumont flew ....
That´s why it didn`t fly on its centennial day in 2003, frustrating all the crowd, all because it had no proper wind to glide.
But if someone thinks that jumping using a hang-glider with a mini fan stuck in the ass is flying on a plane, it´s fine, but not to me! ;)

Baseball is a wildly popular international sport as well, and is also a very cheap sport to play. This allows these sports to appeal to poverty ridden places.
