But with the approach all concept, how you actually do that without seeming like you'll just talk to anyone because you'll take what you can? There's a way of doing it that either shows you're very confident and like yourself but also if you do it wrong it'll seem the opposite effect on how people view you.

*This was my biggest takeaway (I’m paraphrasing here):*
“When you experience enough pain surrounding your activities, then you say enough is enough. What the pain does, is that it creates what’s called an opening.”
"Normally what we do is what’s called dopamine preservation. You’re getting dopamine from not getting rejected, feeling like you already get it, and from creating a protective shield around yourself.”
This where “letting go” and trauma healing comes into place. I recognize from my own experience when I continually work on healing myself, whenever I feel huge resistance in certain activities, then I’m starting to win in life.
But, when I stop this process, then I run into “success barriers” that I’m not even aware of. Then self-sabotage kicks in, and I have to remind myself to start the process again.

How in the blue hell you're getting dopamine from creating a protective shield around yourself? In my perception that trait giving only a lack of dopamine to introverts and sociophobic people

This guy really helped me. I remember breaking down in high school because I couldn’t read social cues, I couldn’t connect with people .. I felt like I was alienated. I remember in this one occasion I saw my girlfriend really connecting with some dude and me feeling that incompetence to get that reaction from her. 10 years later man I’m doing what I love, I’m happy, I’m surrounded by people I love .. people say I’m really social but I just had to learn it.. my aspergers comes out when I’m under stressful situations .. I lack empathy or reading social cues .. But anyway your content really changed my life Owen

Owen is so spot on, When i told the game gods i want to grow my social skills and spiritual life it removed everything out of the way. People, jobs, mindsets. i was in a place where i had no intimacy with anyone or friends for a year. 2nd-3rd year i had new friends that we all aligned on same values, new relationships with higher caliber women, and getting access to places & people i've never believed would happen. All because i committed and stayed in like Owen said. It's dark in the beginning but once you look up, the world is different.

Basically you'll just be at a point where you internally recognize you can't find happiness in other people, but at the same time, are able to meet (and replace if needed) people easily. So it becomes a non issue for you. -Owen

What you're speaking on was an openness in you that's been closed off due to beliefs that someone else HAS to open when you're the only one who can. It actually all comes down to having that deep conversation with yourself on what qualities you believe and like about yourself, then acknowledging how you deserve to be treated and at least from my experience it's like I'm signing an emotional contract with myself and it will never be overlooked due to someone else's interpretation/ perspective of me.

I cannot believe how accurate this is. When he talks about the evolution of your game which leads to your first deep relationship. And how that relationship will be with someone we choose subconsciously to poke at our insecurities because we need to overcome them. Also how suddenly it ends when the growth stops.
Almost 3 years into my first real relationship and this is almost exactly how it happened. Hoping we will get back together in the future because I’ve never loved so deeply but currently feel lost. Wondering what the next step is for me.
The part where he says the loss you experience in a deep breakup prepares you for death resonated deeply with me. How hard this loss is makes me scared of losing other things/people I hold closely. Life is crazy.
It’s amazing how Owen has presumably been through all of this yet still maintains such a positive outlook on life.

It's a graduation from childhood to adulthood. Most adults you see are in arrested development and can barely cope with reality, it's a waste of potential. The real happiness comes on the other side of that, but it means you have to see reality for the brutal facts that it presents, and find your spiritual grounding its that. It's meant to drive you into spirit, as the physical world is both beautiful but also contains incredible disgusting evil. -Owen

that buzz in the brain, lately the past 3 months ive felt like dying, but everytime im at my worst, i go out and practice my social skills, and literally within the first 1-2 interactions BOOM! my brain fires up and the demons desolve and suddenly there's hope and opportunity and im awake.
Then i wake up the next day, back to baseline, then im feeling my worse again i drag my feet outside, and i do the interactions and BOOM! my brain wakes up, and it doesnt even matter how the interactions go, i still get the same high..
so i do it again and again and again and i cant understand why, but im starting to be convinced theres a literal secret to the universe in whats happening here and all it took was to say "hi" to some random people on the street.
No amount of meditation or exercise or clean food or money has given me a high like this before, real magic

This is one of the best pieces of content that I watched. If you see this comment I'm extremely grateful.
I've been forming as a rapper for the past 2 years. Just lately I started posting online some of my freestyles. This is one of the rare times in my life where I got really procreative with something I love and started putting myself out in the real world. In a lot of ways you raised me and assisted my adolescence. Your voice became a part of my conscience and some of the messages still successfully echo on the daily basis regarding dating and success in general. Hearing all this self-help and spirituality getting more attention in the mainstream makes me realize how far I've come from listening to you and other people from your company putting out probably what's one of the most amazing pieces of contents for growth in still the early phases of UA-cam. Thank you for choosing this path. One day I will see you at a live event. Cheers from Croatia!

The way you speak is intriguing; I know words have limitations when it comes to communicating at a spiritual or even emotional level, but your flow of speech, type of concepts, and subcommunication really express a deeper set of truths than words can truly describe.
Reminds me of an old Alan Watts speech where people are wanting him to describe reality, and he's just amused because it's so much greater than words can convey that it's clear they don't even truly understand the question. But they ask him again, so he simply rings a bell and says "Reality is... DINNNNGGGGGG"
    Resonance.

I remember when there was a girl that I considered a "soulmate" actually I am glad I don't have contact with her anymore, because I felt I always had to have my guards up, and always appear alpha, and I would get quite aggresive if a guy would do something I would consider disrespectful around her.

Owen, amazing content. I have noticed in past vids you sort of hold back getting too spiritual in topic or always warn the audience that your about to get a bit woo woo, in case people will disengage or something. Dont hold back on it, it is what the world is lacking and if you are going to win the war against good Vs evil, we need to be armed witj spirituality

He’s right. Love being in a committed relationship but social skills definitely atrophy as you spend most of your time with partner instead of dating, parties and socialising. Pro’s and cons to both. My social skills were razor sharp when I was single, way less now thanks to relationship and covid home working.

We'd been talking for 8 months and all of a sudden she ghosts me...But lately I'd started thinking if I just date this chick I won't have to go out and talk to new people anymore and I can just relax... Also can totally see the soulmate myth leading to self harm.

I haven't watched RSD videos in almost 10 years
i stopped following it back then as it focused on the outer game stuff vs inner work and I got hung up on "making my next set last 3 seconds instead of 2" and I found another dude who showed me how to start on inner work and I thought a lot of the other stuff (minus Julien) was cringy but coming back to this after so long
There were a lot of solid points and I took like 2-3 pages of notes through the video and then sent it to a few friends as well... this is wild, RSD is woke now lmao

I could get into a long discussion about the 30 topics you've skillfully weaved into this impromptu speech. All of it amazing but what's stuck out is how much is it that you may be filtering yourself to US and what sorts of things you can't just say in a straightforward way.
One of those things I sense is when you mentioned the thoughts we have not being our own but could be some structure that implants those thoughts into our minds to preserve itself. Almost like some sort of psychic parasite. Something about that resonates a lot. Just thought I'd share

I'm on video 46 out of 52, but lots of editing to do once it's done as well. It starts going very deep into this about halfway through the series, in videos I shot in Savannah and New Orleans, and builds on it from there -Owen

Late to the game here, I think my g.f. is extremely co-dependent, and me I shut down shes coming to me with her problems, cleaning my room like over cleaning it. She's starting to come out of co-dependent I think maybe me to, it's a long story. Last night and alot she will say "you say things to me that MAKE ME FEEL BAD" I say things to her when she's coming to me emotionaly and I don't know what to say. Example she said she didn't feel well, last night, so I said maybe you should lay down and read a book. I think she was binge watching t.v. or something before this, she then said don't judge me your projecting your insecurities about wasting time on me, you said things to me that Make me Feel bad. I've never in my life told someone that something they said they made me feel a certain way, it's because she needs to approval I guess that it somehow makes her feel bad in her head. I'm just trying to live my life. I really believe she things these types of co-dependent behaviors is how a relationship is supposed to be. I've magically given her an out, turns out I'm not on the lease, she asked me if maybe I should leave in June, I think she's growing some balls maybe? I don't feel like I can have any privacy at home / the apartment. She's emotionally intense alot, and when she comes to me with this, it stresses me worries me and I just want to blank out and escape, if I focus on being their she will just keep going I can't save her I don't want to, I should of just gotten out when I first knew about this. She also keeps bringing up that I've lied to her about doing drugs and many many things in the past as some type of fuel for these emotional therapy sessions I have to sit through, when in my head I'm thinking... Shouldn't I be working on building my future, and I'm thinking for her, should she be doing those goals she talks about, she has a bunch of clothes and things she got at a thrift store, she needs to sell them and list them on eBay etc. Etc. But she delays it plays the I can't do it it's to hard, goes to work, comes home watches t.v. and cries to me about how she can't get ahead, and then gets made at me at night for not "being their for her" she will not take constructive feedback, I need to approach this better, see another day now where I'm thinking about her on my day off. It's crazy. I should leave in June.

Felt inspired to do a little creative writing riff on these concepts. Bit of a dystopian spin. Enjoy.
We didn’t worry much about the people losing their minds. We didn’t worry much about anything until it was too late. And to be fair, watching people lose their minds is ultimately what started us worrying. We should have worried sooner. We should have worried more. Losing minds is one thing. Losing souls is another.
It’s not all grim though. We at least had the resources and connectivity to find each other. Made a weird tribe out of it, started spotting each other around, started learning how to spot each other, then making deals with each other, kicking ass and making names. So yeah, there’s an upside. There’s a fucking UPSIDE. It’s fun.
But those lost souls are the downside, and could be our downfall if we don’t reach them in time. Massive bummer. Every one of them yields the drivers seat nearly every time. They’ve yielded it for so long they don’t know how to be anything but a passenger. They might as well have a carseat.
And they have tribes too. My god do they have tribes. Where our tribe is structured to collaborate, theirs are structured to compete. A culture of need and chasing and bickering on and on. And that’s the sad reality.
The funny part is they spend half their energy obsessing that we’re the “Elite” tribe and why that’s a problem. Our Elite tribe, such as it were, isn’t looking for problems. We’re solution biased. We only present a problem insofar as our worldview threatens the existence of theirs. But did the MacBook threaten the Apple 2? It’s not that hard to upgrade. When you find and establish access to a better version of yourself, to the REAL version of yourself, you’re in the club baby. Don’t sweat it. We’ll spot you. And you won’t wait to be spotted.
See, we never called ourselves the “Elite.” Y’all did. We’re the most welcoming tribe on planet earth - just take the wheel and you’re in. A simple benchmark, no?
Perhaps not. Our tribe’s population isn’t growing at an encouraging rate, if it’s growing at all. Soon we’ll lose more souls to the ever more immersive, and ever more normalized, virtual cocoons.
So all in all, the state of our tribe is strong af. The state of the world is alarming. We hope to see you here soon.
