As always an awesome great video. I think I would have got that part from a salvage yard, lol. I hope you have a fun blessed weekend.
Thanks for watching.
@@jimthecarguy Thank you for the video. I hope you will have a Blessed fun weekend. Summer is about over. ( I hate cold weather, lol.)
Good repair
thanks Jim. Got a few of the 2013 Ford F350. Probably the same as the 2012 so incase I need to fix one I now know how!
Thanks for stopping by Mike. This is one of the many F350 from my commercial accounts.
Can I switch it from how it’s the knobs and such over to how it has the buttons you press to control it ?
Good video jim
Thanks Antonio.
Do these have to be programmed? I’ve heard both yes and no
That is a nice job replacing the panel in that truck just because of that one knob being broken. That should remind people to be careful when operating their vehicle controls due to the cost of parts which can be expensive. I learned about connections years ago when I nearly broke a panel I had to remove in one car because of two screws I missed when trying to remove the panel.
Thats true nothing is made like years ago. it all plastic. Thanks for watching.
I would have hot glued the knob back on lol
Hahaha good idea.Thanks for watching.
$300 for a part is a lot of money. Was there anyway that knob could have been "instant glued" back in place?
In some cases you could but this is a commercial truck that spends most of the time off road . The company did not want to take a gamble . Thanks for your input
Jim, did your customer consider a used unit? Save a few bucs?
No because this is a commercial truck that spends most of the time off road . The company did not want to take a chance with used parts .
Another fine video, Jim. Couldn't a knob be found in junkyard for much less?
Good idea but the owner was in a hurry to get the truck back on the road. Thanks for your input and watching.
Cool, Minnesota
Thanks for watching.
We all know how it goes but it's still hard to believe the knob itself can't be replaced. I bet the driver will be more careful from now on.
The drivers are the whole problem. They beat the heck out of this truck. It's a company truck
I like this Dude style. Jim part cost $300 Dude ok Jim let's fix it. Now if Dude wants to drop he truck off to me I will gladly pay the cost to fix this problem 😁🤣
Thanks for watching.
