    Can I switch it from how it’s the knobs and such over to how it has the buttons you press to control it ?

    Do these have to be programmed? I’ve heard both yes and no

    That is a nice job replacing the panel in that truck just because of that one knob being broken. That should remind people to be careful when operating their vehicle controls due to the cost of parts which can be expensive. I learned about connections years ago when I nearly broke a panel I had to remove in one car because of two screws I missed when trying to remove the panel.

    $300 for a part is a lot of money. Was there anyway that knob could have been "instant glued" back in place?

      In some cases you could but this is a commercial truck that spends most of the time off road . The company did not want to take a gamble . Thanks for your input

    Jim, did your customer consider a used unit? Save a few bucs?

    • @jimthecarguy
      @jimthecarguy  5 років тому

      No because this is a commercial truck that spends most of the time off road . The company did not want to take a chance with used parts .

    Another fine video, Jim. Couldn't a knob be found in junkyard for much less?

    We all know how it goes but it's still hard to believe the knob itself can't be replaced. I bet the driver will be more careful from now on.

      The drivers are the whole problem. They beat the heck out of this truck. It's a company truck
