It will literally take decades, even if Venezuela does everything right from now on. The damage was already done when people voted for Hugo Chavez, who decided to ignore the contracts in place kicking out the oil companies operating legitimately. This is what happens, if you do not calculate consequences of your actions thoroughly.
Don’t worry...there will be bolivars in the amount of 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 when the Christ shows up. And people can make it rain like dollars on the strippers.
Exactly, if you don't do exactly what the US wants they will destroy your country. I am amazed there is any country in the world that doesn't know that.
If Venezuela has oil reserves to rival the US and the mid East oil cartels makes sense they wouldn’t want Venezuelan oil on the market especially now when it’s approaching 90 a barrel. I think the west and it’s allies are definitely interfering in Venezuela no doubt about it. But the amount of incompetence in the Maduro is mind boggling. The only way Venezuela could ever recover is to be able to extract and sell its resources period.
Errr no.. ‘the west’ wants LOW oil prices, not high. Since practically all forms of economic activity are dependent on oil, one way or another (just everything needs to be transported for example) , higher oil prices = higher cost, which is bad for business, and this hurts western countries. Just look at how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has sent oil and natural gas prices soaring, which has then sent inflation through the roof in most parts of the world and starting to cause minor financial hardship to many as the cost of everyday items is increases while their wages are not. The west does not make money from extracting oil, it is a net consumer of oil, by far. The only countries that want high oil prices are those oil producing nations with undeveloped economies, where oil extraction makes up most of their income, such as Venezuela, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Nigeria, Angola
I think the U.S is just waiting for Venezuela to weaken, to the point of completely falling to it’s knees so they can take complete control over it’s economy. I mean with all that oil….
No, that's actually the main problem. The venezuelan economy is in shambles 'cause they depend entirely on their oil exports. Having a huge ammount of unproductive spending, an even bigger corrupt state and even worse, the highly skilled and the people with money have already left and made their life elsewhere, if they started rebuilding their state today, it'd probably take 50yrs or 2 gen to actually get somewhere.

Focusing on rising inequality is what lead to that mess. Inequality is expected and good because there is the excellent and the mediocre, the superior and the inferior. And stating that the inferior cannot be the superior's equal is self-evident, but if you can't bring the inferior up, you can only bring the superior down to create equality.
The only ones benefiting from oil export were the Venezuelan elites. The money has not been going to the people in the past 12-15 years .... But the elites have gotten extremely wealthy. That's the reason for the sanctions against the government and the elites. Also many, oil producer engineers have fled Venezuela and most, if not all, migrated out of the country and currently working for other oil producers in Texas and in the Middle East.
The funny thing is Venezuela could have been just like Norway. Putting their oil revenue into a trust fund and having to invest it wisely. Instead the corruption and terrible policy pissed it all away. At least the Saudi's, UAE, Qatar used their oil money to give it back to the citizens and invest in infrastructure, roads, etc. At least they were able to get it done.
"Venezuela was the richest country in Latin America" Yes, because of oil, but only a few wealthy Venezuelans enjoyed the rewards. Venezuela was the richest country in Latin America, but it was also the most unequal country in Latin America. I have a question. If everything was so great in Venezuela, why did the people of Venezuela vote for President Hugo Chavez? Someone who campaigned on radically changing Venezuela? Doesn't anyone see the contradiction?
in 2007 Hugo Chavez built a gigantic pot in the square and made 5000 gallons of chicken soup for the people. This is exactly what venezuela wants and voted for: free chicken soup for everybody.
To be honest, it is also true that Chávez hid his true colors before he became president, he called Cuba a dictatorship and he presented himself more as a moderate, so people didn't see how much of a marxist extremist he was at the start, and something similar happened with Fidel Castro in Cuba, these people tend to hide their true colors.

Kicking out maduro is a start

The only ones benefiting from oil export were the Venezuelan elites. The money has not been going to the people in the past 12-15 years .... But the elites have gotten extremely wealthy. in 2007 Hugo Chavez built a gigantic pot in the square and made 5000 gallons of chicken soup for the people. This is exactly what venezuela wants and voted for: free chicken soup for everybody.

The USA - since the issue was raised- doesn't have to buy anybody's goods or service , so blaming the sanctions is just a convenient short-circuit that sidesteps the mis-governance that led to the sanctions. Communist countries certainly do not subsidize their enemies - so why should the US ?
Venezuela is rich. So who is keeping them down? 🤔
America, Canada, France, Germany, who else is in team America?

a bunch of corrupt bamboons who have ransacked their country and are so inept and corrupt they cant even pump their own oil out of the ground. To say its the 'wests' fault for their ills simply because they refuse to trade with them is ludicrous.
The more richer. AMERICA maybe?
Venezuela should stay strong like Iran
Iran has more sanctions but poverty and Hunger is less
Stay strong for what? Keeping a dictator and his friends happy? Come on!
Massive reserves of oil were a curse for Venezuela and a blessing for Norway. But there's nothing surprising about it; it's the difference between a low trust, low IQ society, impulse-driven and looking only at short term gains, and a high trust, high IQ society able to formulate plans for the future and put them into action. Like the majority of nations in the world, Venezuela has the government it deserves, nothing less, nothing more.
He only loves his thoughts of how politics should be . His ideas are more important than his people . He is narcissist . Su mente se inclina a poner más importancia a sus ideales políticos que al beneficio de la gente de carne y hueso .
Equality through imposed inequality you mean! Remember what Stalin did to our Russian peasants, 70 million died of starvation!
Are you talking about Joe Biden?
Your mind has been driven by the emperialist American influence, the problem is the U.S. that is written in history, just think about it, Vietnam, Iraq, Afeghanistan, you name it.
@@leninicordeiro1578 As a Russian it is either you got it wrong or you are a lame duck leftist unable to face reality. We Russians knew what evil communism-evil socialism did to Russia and we woke up and BOOTED BOTH OUT! Why we never gave Venezuela any economic assistance is to force you Venezuelans to face reality. WAKE UP! Here in Russia, we knew ONLY CAPITALISM WORKS and the proof is in our Russian private DACHA plots!
@@leninicordeiro1578 Besides, your mind has been driven by the imperialist Communist influence that practically wreck the Soviet Union like AFGHANISTAN AND ANGOLA!

Forget US. There are many growing countries that Venezuela can trade with. There many countries that are growing technologically, medically, scientifically, militarily, financially, etc. It is right that you have survived but you must thrive.
If you love Venezuela and the Venezuelans people for the future and prosperity give free and fair elections
They should improve in agriculture development and food products for Venezuela citizens. And stopped depend on oils and gas only. If you can be able to produce agriculture products in your country without depending on food stuffs import you can always kicked down the westerns sanctions.
Problem is government gonna confiscate your product anyway
Please help people of venezuela as humanitarian

Ppl in Venezuela should have accumulated gold. In india every family holds on average 200gms of gold
Don't blame the free world instead join in. A lot of advantages for doing that for the poors citizens.
lol. "Free world" just exploits you. Look at all those countries they have destroyed, millions killed in the Middle East. Give me a break on that.
The entire report depicts the failure since the entry of socialism into Venezuela, and this is not true. We do not forget that in the nineties Chavez carried out a coup to get rid of the economic collapse. In fact, the collapse began since the early eighties, which is the result of 1914 and the country’s dependence on oil completely, and when the price collapsed, they collapsed with him. The state of Venezuela Its true size, as you see it now, and since 1914, they have been living in dreams and the mirage of oil. They have overpriced the bolivar than its value and have begun to introduce armies of citizens into the country without any productivity. All of them are failed accumulations that led to Chavez, who made the situation worse and then ended with Maduro.
Pay attention AMERICA this is next for us because of our government!!
As a foreign that hates populists and so called socialists, I can say you're deluded. Your so called socialists from the Democratic party would be considered almost Far-Right in most of LatAm.
