  • Aug.20 - Venezuela is in default; the country has suffered one of the greatest economic and humanitarian crises in modern history. Now, after four years of crippling U.S. sanctions, President Nicolas Maduro is making a public plea aimed directly at President Joe Biden- it's time for a deal. Bloomberg's Erik Schatzker travels inside Venezuela and sits down with Maduro to discuss the country's future.

      You should listen to Harari of the WEF, World Economic Forum, they control the world by sanctions. It is their mission to reduce the global population, and they are starting with Latin America. There will be no recovery, move to another country now if you can. They consider uneducated, unskilled people beyond a robot/AI to be irrelevant and contributing to global waste. They plan on replacing the unskilled, with AI artificial intelligence. This is by design, genocide by design.

    If Venezuela has oil reserves to rival the US and the mid East oil cartels makes sense they wouldn’t want Venezuelan oil on the market especially now when it’s approaching 90 a barrel. I think the west and it’s allies are definitely interfering in Venezuela no doubt about it. But the amount of incompetence in the Maduro is mind boggling. The only way Venezuela could ever recover is to be able to extract and sell its resources period.

    • @shanetonkin2850
      @shanetonkin2850 Рік тому +6

      Errr no.. ‘the west’ wants LOW oil prices, not high.
      Since practically all forms of economic activity are dependent on oil, one way or another (just everything needs to be transported for example) , higher oil prices = higher cost, which is bad for business, and this hurts western countries. Just look at how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has sent oil and natural gas prices soaring, which has then sent inflation through the roof in most parts of the world and starting to cause minor financial hardship to many as the cost of everyday items is increases while their wages are not.
      The west does not make money from extracting oil, it is a net consumer of oil, by far.
      The only countries that want high oil prices are those oil producing nations with undeveloped economies, where oil extraction makes up most of their income, such as Venezuela, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Nigeria, Angola

      No, that's actually the main problem. The venezuelan economy is in shambles 'cause they depend entirely on their oil exports. Having a huge ammount of unproductive spending, an even bigger corrupt state and even worse, the highly skilled and the people with money have already left and made their life elsewhere, if they started rebuilding their state today, it'd probably take 50yrs or 2 gen to actually get somewhere.

    It is hard even to imagine Saudis saying that there is not enough fuel for their cars or a Vietnamese saying there is not enough rice to eat, or a Argentine saying there is not enough beef to make a beefsteaks.
    Just as it is hard to imagine Venezuelan could take "hopelessness" to such great heights.
    Most Venezuelan are Christian so why can't you people understand that the God of the Bible reward man by their works? - for believers and the unbelievers.

    It's a complex problem, for sure. Corruption inside and outside Venezuela. One thing is for certain, Venezuela was outspending its income BEFORE sanctions, and had little to no austerity AFTER the sanctions. What would happen to the US if China stopped selling to them? It would really, really hurt, but hopefully (yeah, I'm a dreamer), the US would reign in government spending to compensate. In the end, if you live beyond your means, you will ruin yourself. This is true for individuals and nations. Sanctions hurt, but they would have hurt less if Venezuela's government had reigned in its spending.

    • @rockrabbit253
      @rockrabbit253 2 роки тому +9

      It's only US sanctions , not the whole world. South Africa had sanctions from most of the world plus a civil war and , while their economy suffered , it didn't collapse.

      WELL YOUR STORY IS COMPLETELY FALSE
      THE REAL PROBLEM IS SPECULATORS THAT BEEN DEVALUING THE CURRENCY
      EVER SINCE CHAVEZ WAS DYING
      AT FIRST THE SPECULATORS WAS GIVING MORE MONEY IN THE EXCHANGE THEY CREATED AGAINST THE GOVT EXCHANGE
      THEN WHEN CHAVEZ WAS DYING THEY STARTED GIVING LESS AND LESS IN THEIR EXCHANGE AND THE OPPOSITION PROPAGANDA NEWS WAS ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO BUY DOLLARS ON THE SPECUALATORS EXCHANGE RATE
      AND BEEN FALLING EVER SINCE
      SO THE OPPOSITION ARE MAKING PEOPLE SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT BECAUSE THEY LOST THEIR POWER
      AND DIDN'T NOTHING FOR THE POOR IN THE PAST AND NOW IN PRESENT MAKING THEM SUFFER TO BLAME MADURO AND SOCIALISM
      THE OPPOSITION ARE NOTHING BUT EVIL CROOKS

      the US has a complex economy that produces both necessities and commodities. The Venezuelan economy has, since the 80s relied on oil, which it exchanges for food/goods. This reliance on oil makes the venezuelan economy closer to Sudi arbia's or the UAE's than the US.
