You bet! He’s a super cool guy. Glad he didn’t see me fall in shortly after the interview 🤣

Duuuuude this is so cool!!!! And Tim is exactly right! I learned on a 13ft dec Hogan 2 rod and now I’m on a 11ft Sage x switch and had to totally revamp my stroke and timing with the shorter faster rod. The new airflo line sounds super interesting

I started twohanded fly fishing just last year after seeing I was the only guy going singlehand on a salmon river here in Norway (small to medium sized river by our standards, with matching salmon). The transition was like a revelation to me! "Why am I working my rod so much to do what these guys do effortlessly?". So I went and got myself a 13' 7" #8/9 with a 525gr scandi line at my local shop. And after that I just fell in love! Just ordered an 11' switch rod in #6.

You did it Right Elvis!! Nice long rod, Scandi line and the switch rod second. My motto is, always go with the long rod first! Happy your enjoying letting the rod do the work!

Coming from fishing for reds in Louisiana to trout in Arkansas, I am looking to getting into the set up of Spay/switch. Not sure, making a trip the north Georgia and Tennessee in February and would like to get hands on one of these. I've never used a 2 handed rod and I'm kinda stuck on what to get.

thats a tough one! consider this: ua-cam.com/video/VmB9MrbPF2s/v-deo.html but it totally depends on the size of water fished, the size of fish targeted, and the size of fly you want to throw. This rod requires 225 grain skagit head etc to bend it.

Awesome man, love your channel. You’ve greatly helped my Spey casting. Have you tried the OPST rods yet? I have a nice hatch 4+ mid arbor in the box that I’d like to put on their 9’9” 3 weight. Also, your thought on their new groove head? Just ordered on for my 6 weight Spey.
