Think the precursor leather to Swift was called 'Gulliver'. I'm 5'2 and prefer all larger size bags to include the Kelly 32 and Birkin 35!

Precursor to swift is gulliver. I had a kelly 32 ret blue Jean gulliver. It’s a lot thicker and sturdier than swift but has the same finish

I agree with Sam, bags are meant to be worn but how do we get over the fear of damaging such an expensive bag?!
I think buying preloved can help a lot because they already can have some wear to them and then also remembering that bags can be repaired! This can be done by Hermes or a lot of other great artisans so don’t be afraid to wear them!

A magnificent collection. I really love all of them. That blue Birkin is singing grand opera to me right now! I love any shade of blue, a colour that speaks to my soul! (Apologies for the hyperbole!) I have bought a few LV bags from eBay. For us, they seem to add the Australian General Sales Tax on at the sale. We don't have state sales tax on our eBay purchases and to date I have not had to make an extra payment at delivery, which is simpler. Thank you for the video! It was epic!
I also love blue and Hermes has some great colors. In the US we pay sales tax and then duties on delivery which means your paying a form of tax twice which does suck! Thank you for watching 😊

Lovely bags. QQ: If you have hardware tarnish, should you send to Hermès, Leather Surgeons or a home remedy? What is pricing like for spa service?
If you haven’t had any work done to the bag (like corner touch up or anything) send it to Hermes. If other work has been done on the bag (other than by Hermes) send it to leather surgeons. I have never tried to clean the hardware myself if it’s tarnished. Also for pricing it varies by what you are having done to the bag but I have a whole video on my channel about my spa experience.

Love the collection Sam! You are awesome as always. I’m thinking about getting a Birkin 35 preloved, but haven’t tried one on. The closest I have is a Kelly 32, but it is in gulliver/“swift” which is lighter than a Togo (which is what I would like) I’m concerned about the weight. Love the blues, reds, and gold/Fauve/brown colors in your collection and love vert cypress! I chatted with you on insta about the sf boutique before btw :)
I have noticed that my Birkin 35 that’s courchevel (the precursor to Epsom) is much lighter that my Birkin 35s in clemence. I think if you could find one in Epsom/ swift/ box the bag would be much lighter! Thank you for watching and chatting with me 😊

I have a barking 35 in Togo and I don’t think it’s too heavy as long as you don’t load it with a bunch of stuff
Maybe I missed it but where did you buy your White Kelly 35 for $3k? And is it where you purchased all of your preloved bags?
It was a Japanese reseller from eBay! The prices on Hermes in the bigger sizes pre pandemic were much better. But since 2020 Hermes had become very popular and prices have skyrocketed. I have a list on my blog and a video of all the Japanese resellers I recommend!
