Sorry for the square on the left side of the video. I don't know if it appeared because of the new Nvidia application or because of an error in the MSFS settings.
I know how to fix it, I just had that problem as well. Go to GeForce Experiance -> setting icon -> open in-game overlay->setting icon -> performance monitoring and toggle that off
Incredible video. This was pretty shocking realism even for someone who plays regularly. Also for those curious, the F35-B generally doesn’t take off from hover, even though that looks cooler 😂. Vertical takeoff is super inefficient and generally avoided in favor of a short takeoff where the nozzle is pointed at 45 degrees and there’s at least some runway. The landing depicted here is actually pretty accurate. They routinely do vertical landings in training. It may also surprise some to know, the F35-B is flown exclusively by the marines.
@@nicholasnicky7909 this is true, I’m American, so like a typical American, I forget to include that context. It is used globally by other nations. The only aircraft, of this variety, to my knowledge that’s exclusive to American use is the F-22.
If I'm just doing normal runway talk offs and landings (not vertical), should I just use the A version or is there any other advantage or preference for the B version?
@@zacharypump5910well, the A version is perfectly fine for ctol. if you compare the 3 versions then the C (Carrier) version has the biggest wingspan and you can land her with around 140kt while the B version has the smallest wings and wingspan and you definitely need much more speed to land it which makes it a bit more challenging. all 3 versions have there specific goodies which come with them and i'm enjoying them all.
@@steffenlze0178 most notably if I’m planning longer journeys, the A version carries way more fuel. If I do any afterburner stuff at all, the B version has TERRIBLE range
@@zacharypump5910 yes, the B version only has 900 Nautical Miles but i'm very ok with that bec so you have way more often the possibility for aerial refueling, either simulated within the plane or via the new addon plane. do you have the Miltech Carriers? the class for the B version is a lot smaller like the usual carriers but the are worth the money for me. i'm very often on the carriers at Long Island / KJFK and Boston but mostly at the carriers next to KLAX.

I'm using a Head Tracker to track head movement. Regarding the mouse, I removed it from the recording, but I use it to activate the plane's switches. And about the camera reticle, I didn't add, it comes with the IndiaFoxtEcho F-35. You need to activate this option on the aircraft dashboard.

cool, a few things ive picked up like missing switch catches and switches, also engine start procedure, VS bit and the landing in mode 4, VTOL and it being standstill. but other than that it looks gorgeous!
Probably most of the procedures I did in the video are wrong and much less were done by a real F-35 pilot. As much as I am an aviation enthusiast, my strong side is video editing and production. The purpose of this video and the channel is not just to bring videos about flight simulators, but to produce each one of them in a cinematic way !
Thank you ! It's not a mod. This plane already comes with the option to leave the avatar appearing or not. A button hidden just below the pilot's seat.
Do you ever get any ice up or freezing on the plane? I was doing a bunch of flying through some really horrid weather that wiped out other planes and froze them up and had to use all the de ice systems but this thing doesn’t seem to.
Some planes in Flight Simulator don't simulate involvement with the atmosphere very well. I don't know if this is a problem with the simulator or the plane itself. But some time ago I took a flight in this region with the AzurPoly Transall C160 and it was covered in ice. It's unpredictable when this actually happens. But I remember that in the first versions of the Flight Simulator, the ice formation on the aircraft was very constant and clear to see.
This problem is not with the plane, it is an error with Flight Simulator itself in replay mode. All planes in replay mode have static wheels and the effect of them spinning is horrible. but, outside of replay mode, they work normally.
What's the point of making an aircraft simulator, most of which is classified? What is the data for the flight model, engine performance, instrumentation, etc. ? Either it's all a fabrication or at best a guess as to how it might have been. And that is why as long as the F35 is classified it will not be in DCS.
There's this one word. Fuck. I can't think of it. Oh yeah, there it is. FUN. Because it's fun. Just like the F-22 Mod in DCS is fun as hell to fly around it.
It’s ultimately escapist fun. If you don’t actually know how the F-35 flies and how its avionics function, it’d be impossible to tell if the simulated F-35 is off or not. As you can’t tell the difference (because you lack the reference), you’re stuck with believability rather than accuracy. And in terms of believability the simulated F-35 does well enough, regardless of how (in)accurate the simulation is.
