As someone who is new to Warhammer 40K these videos of yours are awesome! The hobby is so expensive just getting the figures, rules, codex(s), etc that these DIY structures and terrain are a HUGE budget saver. Keep them coming please!
That light inside the solo cup is a great detail. BTW if you get friendly with gas stations or business, or raid their trash, you can get plastic signage and corragated plastic for free when they cycle out promotional materials.
I have been building ttrpg terrain for several years. I love this channel because I love to build with "trash!" The first video i saw was Bards Craft, and off i went into the woods and recycling bins! I love the way you use the 3d printed bits to kick it into hyperdrive! Keep on building my friends!❤
Most excellent. Way better than the tea candles I was using that always lit my terrain on fire. Also, it's best not to muck about with portals, unless one desires a visit from the Inquisitors. ;-)
thanks for the polystyrene signs at hardware store idea. I love using hardware materials that were priced for bulk construction use but are cheap for hobby use. Like xps foam. I think hobby supply stores rip you off by charging you lots of money for tiny sheets of plastic. Any way to get around that warms my heart
Damn I feel silly....I had totally forgotten about reinforced cardboard, or "double corrugated stock".....and when I give it some thought.....I have never seen a video where a terrain builder uses it. I used to use it, but the shop I got it from for free closed down. It is "rare", much like the "rare" green or yellow insulation foam sheets.
DM Scotty has also used it. (So have I, but not on video... yet.) I usually get mine from grocery stores, from the "produce gondola" displays. Hardware stores also, sometimes, receive it, containing landscaping rocks, pebbles, and such. Happy hunting!
Guys check out “submersible LED pool lights”on Amazon for 20 bucks for a pack of 10. They are perfect for mounting in Warhammer terrain. Even come with a remote color changer with strobe option. Very durable and wireless! Just paint the body black
Great video! Just a note, you should really use a fume extractor when soldering, or at minimum a fan to blow the fumes away from your face. Especially if you're using lead-free solder.
really good build :) can you try this kind of setup in medieval fantasy? cardboard foundation covered with wood instead of plastic. some kind of modular fort like the ones in skyrim. also you have a very soft voice, pls consider lowering the background music
@KnarbMakes you are such a great inspiration and I’m so excited to finish my first terrain piece that I’ve been working on. Is there a discord or creators group that I could show you to get some feedback or advice? I really really want to get your input as your videos are ones that I religiously watch and have been following for a while!
I've been using prusa slicer for the past couple of months, and it's superior to most other slicers. For design, TinkerCad is great for simple shapes, but look into Fusion360 (They have a hobbyist license which you can use for free) It has a bit of a learning curve, but it's worth it once you get the hang of it.

It can be an expensive hobby for sure! Happy this helps!
Lovely build... give me my Gert back
Fine! You can have him every other weekend.
Plenty of Gert for the both of you !
Wait, don't stop here, make sure you watch the sister build happening on over here if you haven't already: ua-cam.com/video/9fq-3kZz2BA/v-deo.html

Good call! I'll keep an eye out.

You guys are great! It's enjoyable to watch the collaboration projects you do.
Thanks Ray!

The warp holds many secrets.
The tip about using signs for styrene is a game changer. Can not thank you enough.
You're welcome!
Absolutely awesome build. I love the compactness of it - it really sells the setting
Thanks! Its uncomfortably close...
Glorious 👌
Magnificent!
Amazing video as always! Great idea on using the signage! I'm definitely buying a bunch when I go for the next supply run.
I need to get some more too now! Thanks!
Looks great, Knarb! All the little touches, and the dusting at the end, all come together so well
Thanks Cross!
I Love These collaborations between the wargaming UA-camrs! Such a positive and supportive Scene 😃👍🏼

Glad it was helpful!
Awesome build mate, rubbing the paint off to make the weathering effect is really cool
Thanks Dave!
really nice piece of terrain. Cool collaboration! I started your video right after Gert's
Thank you very much!
Awesome man! I always think the addition of lighting makes a build so much more immersive. Appreciate the shout out too! It looks great!
Anytime! Love your vids as well.
Très joli projet très immersif. Mais pour petit format et un gros éléments à ranger.

Wyloch first got me on it. Large appliances usually come packaged with it. This was from a barbeque grill.

Catching up on my videos. love how you filmed this one!
Super cool! Really like the realistic lights
Great work Knarb! Love the usage of 3d greebles
Thank you! Cheers!
What an awesome build! I just happened upon this video and have now subscribed. Can't wait to see more of your work!

Awesome! Thank you!
Really like the music!
You're videos are AWESOME and inspiring!
Thanks so much Ron!
Looks great my friend 👍. I really should invest in a 3d printer...so many options to choose from though and i have no idea which one i should buy.
There's a few options out there for sure, and some research is required. I have a video coming out next week that might help on the topic. Stay tuned!
@@KnarbMakes ah that would be perfect man, thx 😉. Well, my bell icon is on so i will always be informed when you upload 👍
Hey! Found you on fb today and see I'm now a subscriber! Keep up the fun work!

Excellent build 👌😎fred
Really cool but would have loved to see it in the dark since that was what I was lead to believe based on the title.

Thanks, I'm kind of a novice at soldering. I usually just blow it away with my breath and don't do that much soldering. 1 or 2 connections at a time.
think you need a less unstable comms line to dark matter workshop, you seem to have a slight problem of connection integrity and security
Awesome build man, new sub. 👌👍
Welcome! Thanks for watching.
really good build :)

Thank you! I frequently struggle to get a good balance of voice/music. Thanks for the feedback!

Love your work! Question, I'm just getting into 3-D printing. I've looked at TinkerCad and Ultimaker. What type of software do you use.

What app did you use for the VR sculpt?
wel looks good but why do have BS in vd ? just makes hard understand and e noing we will see new as post it or WILL EYE ?
