the last one has a lot more to it than nick talked about, he had a lot of mental issues, the main being schizophrenia and his parents ignored it until it got to this point, he had a psychotic break. so to be honest it was mainly his parents who neglected him and pushed him too much until he snapped and now two ppl lost their lives cuz of their ignorance to him and his mental health, i highly recommend looking more into his case!
yeah poor guy, glad they didnt throw him into a prison for life to rot rather they made him go to a mental illnes hospital, man schizophrenia is no joke
Yeah it makes me sad when people think schizophrenia is someone ‘acting crazy,’ because there’s clearly something wrong and if you don’t get help how do you expect them to continue living normally? I’m thankful for my mother since she realized something was up with my brother while he was still young and was able to get him help with his schizophrenia but some parents see this behavior and IGNORE it. It’s heartbreaking.
It’s accidents like the second one that make me so nervous about my job as a fridge mechanic. I always keep in mind that one misstep, a brief lapse in concentration or an incorrect procedure, could have me crushed under a fridge, setting myself on fire with flammable refrigerant or being severely electrocuted. Thankfully this hasn’t happened to me yet but I know plenty of cases where it has. I do love the work, and it is fairly safe if done properly and under the right guidance

The third one definitely seems like that kid was likely suffering from "wendigo psychosis" disorder. Google wendigo psychosis and you'll see what I'm talking about. The idea of him having that particular psychosis doesn't seem far fetched as he displayed the symptoms it described which were hallucinations, paranoia, delusions, anxiety, and his cannibalistic attack on another human. Could he have suffered a bad case of wendigo psychosis? You be the judge

First story is so sad. Also, the step dad walked in the room without saying anything... Usually, if my mom came into my room, its for a reason; to ask me what I'm doing, if I've seen my sibling, to turn the volume down, etc. He just walked in silently and stood there.
I agree that youd only grab a parents hand to stop them from touching you in whatever way. As a kid, if my mom was going to hit me and I grabbed her hand or tried to cover my body it was immediately met with "move your hand" or something. That dude just grabbed her by her neck and she laughed/joked as a way to say that she didn't want any trouble.
The whole thing is so off... it makes me feel sick because shes clearly so adorable with her bowl cut just having fun and being an innocent kid.
Mr Ballen did this story , and Imo he does go into a bit more detail . He stated that he was fine in high school , but once he graduated and went into college apparently it affected a lot . The pressure of school , and just being around ppl u dk at college from what I heard just can make u depressed and feel alone. I also wanna say he played football too , so maybe CTE coulda caused it or helped lead him down that path ? But idk if CTE can make ppl delusional . But I forget a number but a lot of football players even before they get to the nfl already have signs of CTE cause they been playing for atleast 8 years already (not tryna defend this dude , just tryna make sense of why he fell off )
Plus his parents had gotten divorced. So he was definitely going through a lot , again this shouldn’t be the reason why or really any reason why he killed those ppl . But he was showing signs too obv but I don’t think the family really did much , one night he was back home at his moms house from college and moved his bed to the garage cause he thought the house was full of demons and would walk around the whole house every night and every few hours knock on his moms and siblings door saying he’ll guard them

Mental illness is serious but people have continued to ignore or refuse to help their children and peers. Catching it early can be hard but not impossible, I can only blame the last guy’s parents for allowing his behavior to escalate rather than to help him.
