This one is probably the best of the Bossa Novas. I don't like how they take a step away from vocals starting from the third. And this and the second set the bar so high that it's almost impossible to follow up. The rest are good, but the really good shit is here in these first ones. Edit: The step away from vocals actually onlasts until Touhou Bossa Nova 5. In 6 onward they return back to their roots a bit more. Not as strongly, and not in the same way, but they definitely recognize that 4 and 5 in particular were the weakest links partly because of the step away from vocals. It still stands true though that 1 and 2 are genuine classics. Legitimately some of my favourite albums. 3, and 6 to 8 are great too, but they are not on the same level as these first two.

Queria que a bossa nova voltasse no Brasil, é bom demais Bossa nova should return to the trend topics in Brazil, but unfortunately, there are a few artists and they don't have popularity. Funk basically destroyed Brazil music, and i'm not a boomer.
