For everyone saying she is smiling. She is probably desensitized to a job she does everyday. Also, testifying is very nerve wracking. So, some people smile under pressure when they are nervous. Please cut her some slack. She isn’t trying to be disrespectful I don’t think. She does this job, I’m sure, because she cares. Testifying is hard. She is probably smiling under pressure, not because it’s funny. I promise. I hope the family understands that.

I get that; however respect for the family is imperative. There sitting right there. Professionalism is required. Imagine if that was your child. Being self aware of your mannerisms is apart of the job. She needs a training or two.

Can anyone reading these comments imagine the sadness and tragedy’s these people face, code, decipher to recover evidence to find the answers the family needs and the evidence to catch the person responsible for the loss and heaviness they are mourning?

      I watched the entire video.
Not once did she joke, be disrespectful, or make a facetious comment. She possibly smiled to be polite to the person asking questions, but nothing more.
Be for real. I’m sure her job is difficult, stop looking for reasons to shame professionals.

It’s very difficult to speak from the witness stand. Years ago my cousin was murdered. The murderer meant to have shot someone else but my cousin got the fatal shot when it was my time to give my impact victim’s statement. I froze. It’s so surreal to be speaking to the court and speaking to the murderer. Anyway, the prosecution witnesses, the friends of Susana Morales all spoke well. They were succinct and clear about the monster poor Susana encountered.💔🙏🏼

You try being on the stand in such a publicized trial and explaining your very sensitive natured and unknown about profession and not be nervous as all hell. You’d be shaking in your damn boots too worrying about not saying anything incorrect. God forbid someone that works in a field that surrounds death not scouring 24/7 of their life. Shame on yall. Rest assured, as an ex-cop going to prison for something like this, unless he gets isolation, his life sentence will last about six months in general population. If you could only convince other convicts that growing old in there is actually a more just punishment. Maybe they would leave him alone, maybe.
