- The PlayStation State of Play 2024 September video will hit at 6pm eastern and many potential customers of the PS5 Pro are curious what will be there. I am hoping we finally get something about Ghost of Tsushima 2 as well as more PS5 Pro enhanced games.

I’m predicting it now. No matter what is shown 75% of “gamers” will say it’s trash. Then the UA-cam community will use Sony’s showcase to make content for the next 4-5 days. Then the speculation over the next Sony event will begin.
People complaining about the ps5 pro need to remember that if you skip the pro you still benefit. When you buy the ps6 , you get to play the ps5 pro version of the past gen games. The ps5 games will already have upgrades.
I'm not convinced PS6 will be as powerful or as expensive as the Pro lineup of Sony products. PS6 will be closer to the $500 mark
I dont know how you can be a fan of gaming but justify holding games off to release with a $700 console

ahhh....something to talk about for the next week. lol for any events like this just keep your expectations very low. being overhyped just sets you up for disappointment.
i wonder what people will say if they announce like 15 remasters for PS5 or Pro and show zero new games. i love to see them remake the original GOW trilogy though.
If 1 or 2 games is worth buying that's great cuz 2025 is already stacked. Don't go in with expectations, just with the hopes they have something for you.
I have no espectations I hope to see something cool either way I win and some people will rage bait!
I can tell you exactly where this new BS narrative has come from, i.e. games now having to be first-party exclusives or they don’t count.
It was started by disingenuous Xbox fanboys after the Bethesda and Activision acquisitions, and the reason they have done it is because Xbox now have more first party studios than both Sony and Nintendo combined.
Therefore, if they can convince everybody to only obsesses about games being first-party, and to exclude all the exclusives that are second and third party, they think it’s going to be some kind of W for Xbox in the future, and console war ammunition against PlayStation.
Exclusive content has always been important, no matter what studio made it, and it still is PERIOD.

Sony has literally put out 90% sequels this generation. The sequels have not only similar game design to the previous games the IP all have similar game design to one another, from gameplay to story. Nintendo conversely reinvents their IP in new iterations, bringing in new innovative game mechanics and ideas. Its not particularly facetious to say Sony is creatively bankrupt from that perspective. Its not like they design interesting characters. Most of them look like regular people. Seems like this level of shielding for Playstation is unnecessary
