Absolutely, I personally love the game. As for the music I did a review just on that here ua-cam.com/video/niu0BztfS34/v-deo.html and then for the game as part of my FF series I did ua-cam.com/video/YYy7yilHj7Y/v-deo.html but either way thank you for checking out the playlist!

Thanks! Yeah I like the black screen so I don't get distracted at work or having up on the tv while on my phone while my wife is sleeping. Thanks for checking out the vid and if interested not only in some FFV tracks, but FF in general check out my FF Reviews, I also have remixed many FF tracks. Have a great day!
I was never a big Action jrpg fan but there was something about Secrets of Evermore that I couldn't put down and I think the music was a big part of it. I had no idea at the time how much Square would end up impacting my childhood in the next gen of consoles. - Jeremy Soule's first game was Secrets of Evermore, which everyone knows his iconic soundtracks from Skyrim
Excellent playlist! But, if I may, the attack on that added compression is a bit harsh. Some of the more isolated percussion hits my ears pretty hard. Though, everyone hears things differently. And again, the playlist itself is magnificent.
Thanks! I totally agree on the compression, when I was normalizing the audio as a good amount of tracks were tuned way down, my DAW had a field day with it. By the time I had realized it by listening back to the whole thing I didn't have my original files to fix it. I noticed it specifically on some of the Seiken Densetsu 3 tracks. Thanks for checking out the playlist and providing appropriate criticism in a civilized manner, I really do appreciate it!
Oh, wow, you were not kidding about that added compression. The drums of [58:29] Seiken Densetsu 3, "Different Road" are actually hurting my ears. And the chirp at 1:00:43 D:
Yeah I am not sure what happened, I think since it is multiple audio files due to all of the movements I must have missed one. Thanks for checking it out though, appreciate it!
In fear of the heavens, particularly torwards the end of the track, I can really hear Final Fantasy IX. Makes sense seeing as it's supposed to be the swansong/LoveLetter to the classic Squaresoft RPG
@@Dancarnate oh dude, you are in for a treat! Rudra no Hihou has some really creative storytelling and a really nice magic system that just straight up acknowledged that you shouldn't start from 0 every time you play. I wish they had had the guts to make you replay the full game with better knowledge of what would happen in order to unlock the final ending, I think all the pieces were in place, and it would have really fit the theme of Destiny-to-Die to have the character's initial arcs end badly until you 'reincarnate' by starting a new savefile and fix all of your mistakes. But no way would we ever have gotten something like that on the SNES. I also really wanted to play through another characters viewpoint before the final chapter, and see how everything really fits together, which would also have been a cherry on the cake. Sadly, no.
great selection of songs, but unfortunately many songs are overdone with compression (or something like this), i have to lower the volume a lot in these songs or my ear gets hurt. i 've tested in 2 different audio setups and headphones and the sound have something non-natural, something annoying to my ears and my wife's. it's something in the mid-bass frequencies. the punchiness is overdone.
Yes, you are absolutely right, when I clipped them all together in my DAW I had to do some makeup gain as all the tracks weren’t normalized for volume and when I listened back to it all I didn’t listen to the whole thing (as I should have). Throughout the decades, the 90s being no exception, Square's contribution to the musical heritage of gaming is undeniable.
Absolutely, easily some of the most recognizable and I hate to use the word "epic" themes throughout the years.
@@Dancarnatefantastic playlist. Helping me get through the workday.
smell the better remember moment in my life
I would say the 90s were their peak. FF3-9, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Mario RPG, Secret of Mana and Xenogears just to name a few.
The first song though, it takes me back. Secret of Mana was my favorite game on snes for the longest time.
Yeah I can't tell you how many times I rented it as a kid, it definitely a good one. Thanks for checking out the playlist!
The Golden Age of JRPGs! This is the era that truly let both Uematsu and Mitsuda shine!!! Great times
I agree, some of the best! Thanks for checking out the playlist!
snes echo sounds so good
Man, say what you will about Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, but the music is a solid banger.

Thank you very much for uploading this wonderful compilation 🤩
Thank you for checking it out!
Now this has to be one of the best playlists on UA-cam.
Yo thanks for checking it out and the kind words!
Thank god someone else recognizes the genius that is FFIV's soundtrack
It is a solid one for sure, that snes Squaresoft era was the best! Thanks for checking out the vid!
to add to the list of ost masterpieces:
Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge for gameboy
Holy crap! It's exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you for delivering this simple good thing.

The bass lines in FFIV really stick out in a good way, I wish Square would bring that back
For sure, I love the bass line for the 2nd battle theme is so good and I love how it gets the little moment to shine by itself.

I sure do love my game music from the 1900s
Although that makes me sound crazy old, I have to agree haha. Thanks for checking out the playlist!
Final Fantasy V is a good game, don't get me wrong, but the soundtrack is S-tier. Right at the peak of the mountain with the other JRPGS of the 90s
