I enjoy doing those predator heat exchangers. Pretty straight forward and can easily be done by yourself

Good stuff Jeff! Did you end up replacing the draft inducer motor?

No. Didn’t want to go through changing it with another old one to find out that one is shot too. Think I’ll just order a new one.

It didn't look like the unit from which you stole the heat exchanger could have ever fired and run! The high voltage transformer is missing from its board.

Whoever put this in before you should've used high temp silicone for the collector box and the inducer not very good who ever did it or just rushed the job.

Hay it would be ridiculous. not to use the new heat exchanger especially the way that unit looks it needs completely replaced.. lol don’t you love it when you go for one thing an find lots of defective parts.. but that what happens when they don’t do at least at a minimum once a year maintenance🤷🏻‍♂️ as far as the draft motor?? Hay there comes a point of no return and I don’t blame you for not changing out the other one only to find out it’s worse.. the only time I will use a used one is in an emergency at 2 o’clock in the morning. Then it’s do what ever to get them up an running till can get new parts
