I immediately order through the links given and started using it as soon as I received them... it is now almost a month using this wonderful natural shampoo ..and now I can see my hair is improving with every wash.. I do little modifications also now.. as I learned after watching so many video of yours... as shikakai dries the hair a bit.. I also add hibiscus powder equal to methiseed powder and also add a few drops of rosemary essential oil sometimes.. and I also skip shikakai when not oiled my hair... it feels so great.. and amazing to experience .. I have also tried bath powder, kadi leaf oil, amla serum, almond night cream... buttermilk with kadi leaf powder.. iddiyappam with stew.. drumstick soup.. 😃😊... these days for me UA-cam is Wild Turmeric.. I still have to try a lot many recipes and I am sure.. they all gonna work... Thank You for doing what you are doing.. all your videos not only provide wonderful information but they are so soothing to watch.. and listen.. feels like meditation some times.. Hi, I am using this arappu podi till date. My hair fall has stopped . Dandruff has gone. I made one other change. Only on shampoo day, there is no oil, rest of the days there's always oil on my hair because I have a heat body.
What powder would be better that cleans the scalp good enough and gives good nourishment at the same time to the scalp and hair strands? I use shikakai amla an reetha but it really is so dry for my hair.. i have sleek and a lot of hair so it doesnt have to be ticker.. should I use arappu powder or zyziphus powder? I hope someone can help me.. now I use flax seed gel with butterfly pea tea and it gives a nice soft feeling to the hair but for me it is easier to shampoo it without the 'mask' afterwards everytime..
From my experience shikakai never dries out hair from moisture .. it always conditions the hair .... Its always the soap nut which dries out hair ... And arappu is my favourite ❤... We have to mix everything in right proportions to reap maximum benefits

I used arrappu powder for hair wash hair became soft and shilk tq madam for introducing.I purchased from your link I think no need shampoo I cancelled I ordered shampoo I am happy by using arappu powder.
Usilampodi was the shampoo in our home forever. We used to get easily in Gandhi market area in Trichy. After moving to Chennai, we transitioned to shampoo mainly because of unavailability. I learnt that it is available in Paris Corner, have to buy in bulk. The problem is it gets bugs after few months like atta, so should buy fresh powder. We used to mix 3:1 ratio for the usilampodi and shikakai powder combo. Shikakai gives some grittiness. Otherwise it will be very slimy. Shikakai powder is good for body rubs not for hair.

@@swethap9437 Like I mentioned 3:1 ratio. The powder u can store for months. Only minutes before bath add water to it to make a smooth paste (dosa batter consistency) and use it as a shampoo.

@@wildturmeric thanks. This mixture doesn't stip the hair of oil. Have used it for quite some time in the past. It always gave my hair a luxurious shine. Right now I am using a mix of amla, reetha, shikakai, giloy, brahmi, bhringraj, mehndi, tulsi and neem. Adding this too will be too much.

Arappu made my hair very shiny in the 1st wash itself..i bought it from local store since its new i wanted to give it a try.. if we mix with regular shikakai reetha..it will cancel out the dryness.

Hi, if you wash your hair with this powdet you will not need any conditioner at all.. It'll make your hair silky smooth and soft

The combination is amla, ritha and shikakai in equal quantities. You left out amla. The combination is very good and works very well.

You can skip it, onion juice also aggravates sinus....
