    Brother Azhar. Salamualaykum.. I'm watching the life of the prophet series right now currently on episode 10), and I originally looked for a shia source on the life of the prophet and that was the best one that went into the depth that I was looking for. I hope you go into a similar depth into all the imams. even if it takes you 10 years to finish it. thank you for your contribution greatly.

      Sheikh Azhar's biography series is truly impressive. We agree that it's essential to create in-depth series highlighting the lives of the Imams, especially the later ones.
      By the way, both series on the biography of the Prophet are available on the Thaqlain App. 🙂

    I’m confused as to where the Shia get the concept of the imamah? I’ve looked everywhere in the Quran and in the Hadith and I can’t find it. Where does it say that this 12 imams have knowledge of the unscene?

      look in your sources for what the prophet said he will leave behind. In both shia and sunni books it says that the prophet will leave behind 2 things and if you hold on to these you will never go astray, the quran and my ahlulbait. The prophet does not say quran and sahaba. He says ahlulbait, his family, his direct descendants.

    Islam is in the Quran, and the guidance is in the Quran and Hadith. There was no Shia at the time of the Prophet Mohammad, even at the time of Imam Ali. Imam Ali was following Prophet Mohammad. Why is Shia tradition so obsessed and trying to prove their way to the entire Muslim population. It's very simple, follow the Quran and the Prophet, that's it. The prophecy came to Prophet Mohammad. Prophecy was not passed to Imam Ali or his leanage. It ended with the death of the Prophet.

    The events at Saqifah were a result of the urgent need for leadership after the Prophet’s death to prevent chaos. Abu Bakr’s appointment was based on his qualifications, piety, and the consensus of the companions present. While it was a hasty decision, it reflected the unity of the Muslim community at that critical time. The companions, including Abu Bakr and Umar, acted with sincerity and for the benefit of the ummah. Critiquing their actions risks undermining the integrity and wisdom of those closest to the Prophet, whom Allah and His Messenger praised. It’s more productive to focus on their legacy of uniting the Muslim ummah rather than emphasizing divisive historical debates.

      Umar’s description of the event as “hasty” does not imply illegitimacy but highlights the urgency of the situation, where immediate leadership was necessary to prevent division and chaos in the Muslim community after the Prophet’s death.
      Umar affirmed the legitimacy of Abu Bakr’s caliphate by stating that Allah protected the Muslim community from harm through the outcome of the Saqifah meeting.

      @@KhalduniiUmar and Abu Bakr knew how important and urgent it was to appoint a successor but the prophet who receives visions from the heavens didn’t think it was important to appoint a successor 🤡 Umaris

    • @Khaldunii
      @Khaldunii 4 дні тому

      @
      The Prophet ﷺ didn’t explicitly appoint a successor because doing so would have undermined the foundational Islamic principle of shura (consultation), which ensures collective decision-making and flexibility in governance. By leaving the matter open, he trusted his companions, whom Allah described as the best generation, to act with wisdom and sincerity in choosing a leader who would uphold the unity and stability of the ummah. This decision also reflects the completeness of Islam, where principles guide leadership rather than rigid instructions. If a divinely mandated successor had been necessary, it would have been clearly stated in the Qur’an, as all fundamental aspects of the faith are, leaving no room for ambiguity. The Prophet’s approach ensured that leadership would be adaptable to the needs of the community rather than confined to a fixed model.

    • @Mahx17
      @Mahx17 3 дні тому

      @ Shura isn’t an Islamic principle it began with Saqifa. The Quran doesn’t give instructions on how to pray or do hajj pilgrimage yet those are critical aspects of faith, you don’t get to choose how god reveals his message god decided that. Don’t make your own rules up about the religion. If the umari view is that the prophet didn’t appoint anyone then not appointing a successor is sunnah, why did Abu Bakr appoint Umar on his deathbed. Either Abu Bakr got it wrong or the prophet got it wrong. You’re clinging on to beliefs you were raised with to avoid the ugly truth that you were raised on lies

    • @Khaldunii
      @Khaldunii 3 дні тому

      @
      1. Shura is clearly an Islamic principle. Claiming that shura began at Saqifah is false and directly contradicts the Qur’an, which explicitly commands consultation: ”…and those who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation…” (Qur’an 42:38). Denying shura is denying a core Qur’anic teaching.
      2. The Prophet ﷺ meticulously demonstrated how to perform prayer and Hajj because these are immutable acts of worship. Leadership, however, is a contextual matter subject to the needs of each generation. He laid down principles-shura, justice, and unity-and left it to the community to apply them. To equate leadership with ritual worship shows a misunderstanding of the Prophet’s ﷺ wisdom
      3. Abu Bakr’s recommendation of Umar wasn’t an imposition; it was a practical step to maintain stability while still consulting key companions. Unlike the Prophet ﷺ, who had united the ummah during his lifetime, Abu Bakr faced a fragile and divided community after the Prophet’s death. His recommendation reflected the circumstances, not a departure from the Prophet’s example.
      4. The Prophet ﷺ didn’t appoint a successor because he trusted the ummah to act on the principles he taught. Insisting that he should have named someone disregards his trust in the companions and the flexibility of Islamic governance. It also assumes the Prophet ﷺ left something incomplete, which contradicts the Qur’anic declaration: “This day I have perfected for you your religion…” (Qur’an 5:3).
      5. Accusing Sunnis of clinging to lies reeks of intellectual dishonesty. The Sunni view is grounded in the Qur’an, Sunnah, and historical consensus. Disparaging the companions who transmitted the Qur’an and Hadith undermines the entire religion. Perhaps it’s time to question whether your own beliefs rely on post-facto narratives designed to justify sectarian division rather than reflecting the Prophet’s ﷺ actual legacy.

    Salam A,
    I ask the shia brothers since so much concern is placed on the successor after the prophet SAW, is there any issues with the Quran seeing that it was compiled in the time of Uthmaan RA and he is NOT from the family of Muhammad SAW?
    If the successors after the prophet SAW were ERRORS in the past, why did Ali RA name his children;
    Abu Bakr ibn Ali
    Umar ibn Ali
    Uthman ibn Ali
    Hasan & Hussein ibn Ali
    Why dont the shia sect name their children the same???
