Hello, I have one too. In Japan, this camera was used in photo studios. It is also famous for portraits of female subjects and as a camera that faithfully reflects the skin color of babies.
Fantastic photos, this is such an amazing camera. Picked one up in 2020 and I just fell in love with it's results. Not my everyday camera, but never fails to impress especially with it's insane dynamic range!
Hello from France ! I really like these old dslr, I've rediscovered my brother's 350d in my garage and i have ditched my modern fuji to stick with the old canon. I like to see your pictures, been two times in Finland and I really loved it :)
This camera is magic in the way it renders Photos. Skin tone, High Dynamic Range. Portraits. I snagged one for a good price £260 looks like new its amazing only 18200 shutters :) There hard to get In good condition and at a good price. Collectors piece really.
RAW files from the S5 Pro are excellent and retain their full 12MP resolution - as long as they are developed with Fujifilm's ancient RAW development software: Hyper Utility 3. By the way, SOOC jpgs are fully usable and suficient in most cases, like with all Fujifilm cameras. Nice video!
@@ricblessing3400 Same. I believe there are 3rd party software that will do this too? We really need a forum for Fuji SuperCCD cameras where people can provide recommendations and support.
@@too_many_cameras I typically using Lightroom as my primary workflow but I found it a bit awkward with this super ccd sensor (like enhance super-resolution)and I never good at Capture One so I'm sticking with Lightroom lol. But I'll try something else in the future what might suite me best .
Well... both. But being a lens made for a smaller APS-C image circle you can't really use it on a full frame camera. Although i've heard this one covers the full frame sensor quite well.
Hi! I am planning on taking an s5 pro with me on an upcoming family trip. Would you know if it is possible to toggle photo modes using a dial/button please? (I would like to toggle between black/white and color quickly). Thank you!
I own and use six Nikkor zoom lenses on my Nikon F film cameras. I use all my Nikkor zoom lenses on my Fuji S5 Pro APS-C digital SLR bodies. The Nikkor zoom lenses I use most often on my S5 are: 14-24mm f/2.8 28-70mm f/2.8 80-200mm f/2.8
I own and use about two-dozen Nikkor prime lenses on my Nikon F film cameras. I can use all my Nikkor prime lenses on my Fuji S5 Pro APS-C digital SLR bodies. I own this camera for years and I still do not see a single reason why should I buy another one. There are several tips that will make better photos: - 1-1/2 stop overexposure is generally good idea in this camera - use SilkyPix, LR is not the best software for it, you can not get best ofdynamic range in LR - try old manual lenses
Good tips. I have used an old soviet Mir-24N 35mm f/2 on mine. I'll have to give Silkypix another try but i feel like LR does understand the files unlike say Capture One.
Kaunis kuvat!!! Hyvä poika 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 i use almost every day this amazing camera, the jpeg are amazing but you have to set the camera on the right way... I suggest with jpeg 6mpx size M and raw size L
Ive own both, Firstly, I owned the Fuji S5 Pro : A Brilliant Camera for that film look and great Dynamic range & Skintone's .I used it a lot in b&w its an amazing camera. Nikon D200: I purchased on a whim on eBay I was actually expecting this camera to be worse than the Fuji S5 But its Amazing , The photos out of this camera are colourful and they pop. I loved them both and wish I had kept them both :(

Those photos are gorgeous. I have an S5 Pro coming! I’m going to look for that lens. Thanks!

Any chance you have a download link to that ancient software? Everywhere I’ve looked is broken. Not even sure which modern OSs it runs on.

I just got my hands on S3 Pro and I love it even more than my 5D classic!
Glad to hear that. What is your workflow for the raw files?

I'm gonna stick to LR myself too i think. Capture One can't use the R-pixels at all and results to 6mp photos
@@too_many_cameras Have you ever try using Hyper Utility?
@@phongnapatsukwat4683 I have but it's so slow. I don't really know if it has any advantages really over say Lightroom

Nice nostalgic music. Can you tell name artist/track?
HI. Great camera. Is a 35mm DX really a 50mm equivalent or is it 35mm equivalent for FX?
Well... both. But being a lens made for a smaller APS-C image circle you can't really use it on a full frame camera. Although i've heard this one covers the full frame sensor quite well.
A 35mm lens is always a 35mm lens but the field of view on a crop sensor is nearly equal to a 50mm on full frame - all else its still 35mm 🦘
A 35mm is always a 35mm but on a crop camera it will have the field of view similar to a 50mm on a full frame ...
I love my S5 :-)

I dont believe that's possible
@@too_many_cameras thanks! Looks like I will have to fiddle with the camera then! Cheers!
Is that better choice than Nikon D200?
If the prices are equal, yes
is it crop sensor or full frame, can I use all nikon lenses with it?
can I deal with it as a nikon camera?
It's an aps-c camera so crop sensor. All the Nikon lenses work with it. It's like a Nikon D200 with Fuji insides

People do seem to like the D200 a lot
I've got 5 d200s 3 nib will never not have one lol I would like to try the S5 against it though
