Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the tomb (He rose from it):
The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the tomb. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the tomb and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote:
“Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…”
In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative.
Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians:
“They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.”
This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man.
You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes:
“About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.”
Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Adon Jesus the Christ.

that church gonna be real hurt when they find out jesus wasn’t caucasian
All they need to do is read the Bible to find that out. Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth.
@Ed Oceanside no i think you’re being fed the lies hahaha. it’s factual evidence proving jesus wasn’t white. he’s from Nazareth, and grew up in Jerusalem. Which is ALL in the MIDDLE EAST. Edit: Everyone is saying I don’t know what I’m talking about so I’ll explain. Racism is so much more than how we treat others based on race. Racism is in our housing systems, our prison systems, our employment systems, our justice system, our government, etc. This is called systemic racism and it’s a problem no one knows how to fix but acknowledging and educating yourself about it is a start. I’m not trying to pick fights where they don’t need to be picked, I’m acknowledging a problem.
Having a advantage in height is also racist
Isn’t racism when you are prejudice against a different race, I think actual racist people would make it know that they are racist through being disrespectful and rude
@@nulixity6711 There’s definitely more than one type of bigotry. Not all racists are outspoken and burning crosses is their yards. A lot of racists genuinely believe they aren’t racist because they “have a black friend” or they’re “colorblind” , but neither of those things acknowledge actual racist ideology , it only avoids the problem.
@C0tton You can hold very racist views and still be polite to black people. Let a black person walk into town wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt and you will see their true colors

I'm from Arkansas and a buddy of mine works on the chamber of commerce for Harrison. They haven't had a new housing project since 2008 because no one wants to work there.
The WHO was doing a tour to look at rural healthcare and skipped over the town last minute because of the reputation.
Outside of the town is Zinc, the kkk headquarters, which has taken over the reputation. It sucks because it's affected everyone negatively, racist or not.
A lot of people from there are trying to change things, but it's hard to change people's opinions on your town when the public opinion is, fairly so, already tainted.
Dude as someone who was born and raised in Harrison, it's a shit show up there. The people in Harrison themselves aren't racist but everything surrounding it is. That city is fucked and I'm glad I got out

People that prefer to surround themselves with a certain race, or not associate with another race, etc. aren't "the problem." "The problem" is racist people that take racist ACTION - the problem with racism is racist ACTION, not racist mindsets. He's entirely right, some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life, and also some of the most welcoming - were, in fact, racist Blacks. I even had one feed me out of her kitchen when I was homeless. She's still to this day one of the kindest people I've met in my life.

Some of the comments on here are the most sensible explanations of the difference between actual racism and preferring the company of your own kind. The most racist place is anywhere people feel safe enough to be anonymous on the internet
Facts. Everybody's a badass on the web.
It really is sad seeing a black dude get tricked by a member of the kkk. Most of the people in the town said, "I'm not racist but" and Jideon just nodded his head.
I didn't expect much from him tho. Jideon has zero understanding of politics.
Jideon essentially made a white nationalist propaganda video for the kkk. "Most of the people were super nice" therefore how could they be racist.
This wasn't even good non biased reporting by Jideon either btw. He went there with the intent to prove they weren't racist. The video would've done far less views if he went there wearing a BLM shirt and actually asked real questions. The amount of dog whistles that went over Jideon's head was insane.
Please, if you are reading this, educate yourself on systematic racism and dog whistles. Racists will never admit they are racists, they will use other language such as "I am a race realist". Race realists believe that black people are lesser beings, it's just racism. But they can hide behind plausible deniability and bullshit.

There's really only one group/identity that doesn't get to stand up for themselves in America
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol The right and ability to stand up for oneself is granted by the self. I speak my peace when I feel like it, period. One issue in people speaking up that happens time and again is they don't present themselves as wanting or recognizing equality. They come off genuinely as wanting revenge. That never works out well. Plus lots of people are just dicks who want free stuff for self-induced suffering.
the fact that a black man can have a civil discussion in the most racist town in America is proof America isn't racist
If you watch the video, the town isn’t actually racist, it’s just this one church within the town that has racist ideology. That church has a lot of signs up so people who pass by see the signs and they think the whole town agrees with that ideology, but it’s just that one small church. But the signs are on the church is private property so there’s nothing that anybody else can really do about it. So yes, there are racist people in the town, but his point was that people were making a big generalization about the whole town even though it’s just a few ppl. So his point was that the “most racist town in America” label wasn’t even true because it was generalizing all the towns residence just because of the actions of a few.
I mean, the church guy was racist, he was just civilized about it. Could be due to Jidion not trying to change his opinions.

Lived in Harrison for 10 years. It's not Harrison that's racist. It's in a tiny hillbilly town where a KKK gathering spot is. Though in the South, especially heavily rural areas, all the crap from town in a given county gets dropped into the largest town in the county. In Boone County's case, that's Harrison. Harrison itself is very welcoming. Only quote "discrimination" you might get is if it's plainly obvious you're not from there, and people might look at you a bit differently. But that rarely has anything to do with skin tone. That's just a small town mindset towards outsiders. Though even this isn't all that common in Harrison. It's more likely to happen in a much smaller town like Gasville or Midway.
