In my opinion a very complete and high tech SUV that sets the bar for competitors extremely high. Especially the infotainment, luxurios interior, autonomous driving features and charging capabilites must be praised ! Sedans are still more of my type... so hopefully they will give P7 a worthy facelift with all the upgrades. Or maybe even a smaller sedan version. As always I enjoyed your review and it was a cool idea to show your audience the beatiful skyline of Guangzhou ;) By the way P7 facelift will be in 2023 as well as the introduction of two other models From Xiaopeng, one of them being a Tesla Model Y competitor.
Hey Johann, agree! The G9 is definitely a intelligent SUV with some kind of premium feelings. I do really appreciate the ability of the full scenario autonomous driving on it. The skyline of Guangzhou is quite spectacular especially after the rain with some clouds. Yeah, hope the next year P7 could equip all those new tech things.😆 Always appreciate your thoughtful comments! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
200km in 5min is good but almost full charged and totally automatic without leaving the car is much better ;) Still a good car but I would prefer et7 or ES7 what’s your opinion?
Yeah, that's quite impressive charging speed. I don't have much motivation to get a big size suv or large sedan as I've got my ES6 already, and that's even more than enough for me🤣, but ET5 seems better on its size for me. Thanks for watching!
I like the high end, though the UI of the OS looks a bit simple, to say it. Also, the interior, including the steering wheel, could be more thought out and better designed. The back seat middle console has lots of potential. As well as mirror cams instead of traditional ones, at least as an option. Further, what models would be available? The Huawei Avatar has 6 LIDARs, seems to generate a much more exact environment. Especially for parking, those additional sensors might be useful. Any thoughts?
Hi there Dave, it is because we haven't got chance to take close look the interiors yet as we filmed the ES7 video at outside of the car last time.😅 I would do a comparison if we got chance to bring them together.😆 Thanks for watching!
Xpeng makes good cars, which are mostly appealing to a subgroup among young buyers. To attract more buyers, Xpeng needs to have a model with more traditional looks (exterior and interior). Think BYD's success.
Hi there Martin, yeah, it definitely attracts some young people who are tech lovers, and G9 may reach some mid-class young family as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hi there Anibal, the selling price of Chinese version starts from ¥309,900 - ¥469,900, which is around $44k - $66k, but not sure the time for US market at the moment. Hope they will make 6 or 7 seats model in future🤣 Thanks for watching!
Oh. As soon as I saw this car immediately decided to buy. But while talking to salesman, I realized that it doesn't have English language and will not have in the future 😭. As a foreigner in China I would prefer English in my car. I have a question why the car that is sold in Norway and has English. Doesn't have it in China. Oh xiaopeng need to learn from Aito and Zeekr.
you can speak it in mandarin, but have the ios in english or any other available language. Since you are a Russian speaker, maybe you meant Russian language?
Most of parts are covered by leather, but it may depends on what model you choose, seats are comfy. I believe G9 is coming soon to the XPeng store next month, then you can go and check it out in person.
Hi Mostafa, the official selling price hasn't released yet, but I'm guessing it would around $50k - $60k for Chinese market. I will update once it's released. Thanks for watching!
@@joyevs_TV Can the system language be changed to english? As I have driven both the Li One and several BYDs in China and they can be changed to English.
@@GepolWorldOrder Hi Michael, I didn't see there is English option. Hope they could add an English option via future OTA as it's not a big thing for them.
I like the car a lot but there is too much tech. I don't like the passenger screen is it over-kill lets hope that is an optional extra. I still do not know why Chinese brands have trouble achieving a fast charge on a 400volt architecture after all TESLA is not 800 volts. 480kW charging stations puts more burden on the electric grid system. Imagine a charging hub with 50 x 480kW stations it would need its own small nuclear reactor.
Hi there, yeah the Tesla supercharger are quite impressive to achieve 250 kW on a 400v architecture. The way to solve range anxiety of most EV makers is to boost the charging speed, such as 800v of Audi, Porsche, Hyundai and 900v of Lucid. The higher kW the faster charging speed, and the higher voltage, low dissipation of energy. Tesla’s supercharger has has evolved greatly over the years, going from 90 kW of capacity to 250 kW, even push to peak 300-350kW. However, personally think any higher current implies, then Tesla probably will move to 800v-900v system, and launch 800v or higher volt models as current model is 400v. But it would add huge costs since the vehicles' charging infrastructure and entire vehicle system would have to be changed to work with the higher voltage. Yeah, it’s definitely a huge load for electric grid system if there’re too many high power stations. However, with more electric cars running on the road, the waiting time at charging will increase, so I believe government, and companies will give solutions to reduce waiting time, probably by boosting the charging speed, and building power swap stations. Therefore, the electric grid system probably will be redesigned to meet the increasing demands of Electric cars. I do hope EV makers could increase the charging efficiency to save the energies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
XPeng has also developed technology to provide charging services using stored energy, which can meet the uninterrupted high-power charging needs of 30 vehicles with a single storage.
Thank you for covering Xpeng. Exciting car!
