  • This is the Clickety Click bow clicker. It is a must have for a consistent pull draw length. We don't always release the arrow at the same distance of our draw length. We may be 1/2 to 1" off some times. This affects the arrow flight up or down. With a bow clicker I can pull my bow string back to my anchor point and be with in 4 oz. poundage consistently. The cost is about 15.00 and you can even make your own clicker. These work great with Traditional and Recurve bows and compound bows. To have that perfect form when drawing your arrow back to that precision draw, is always difficult especially if you are in a high stress situation. This eliminates that particular problem so you can concentrate on your form. There are several different types of clickers available, even for world class shooter and Olympic events. I think you will really be glad you purchased a bow clicker.

I ended up installing one of these on my Olympic style recurve as a temporary solution while I get used to shooting recurve with lower poundage limbs and full length arrows. I have had to make quite a few modifications to get it to work properly and it does the job okay, but it is not as consistent as I am sure a riser mounted clicker will be when I get to that point. It has a tendency to go off too early or too late requiring constant fiddling and adjusting. But like I said it's a good way to get used to using a clicker and for a lot of folks it might be a great solution. For a target archer though looking for real accuracy and consistent operation...it falls short.

That really interesting I'm going to try one. From and consistency is everything with recurve bows. I have a Bear Kodiak Magnum #60 and a Damon Howitt Mamba#50. The Bear I've had over 40 years. Still shoots great.

I think you will really like it. It will help you improve your draw and anchor for consistency.

@@knightingalesaid I'm not a novice I've been shooting since I'm a kid I got the Bear Kodiak Magnum for my 14th birthday I had to beg for it. Also pay half it was $45.00 then I needed arrows. My mother didn't want me to have weapons. LOL. There were long periods of time when I didn't have time. Now twice a week with my friend who I taught to shoot recurve bows. He was a NYC cop during 9/11. I guess it relaxes him

@@m2gjam139 Its nice to be able to shoot with someone. I use to shoot with my uncle when I was 15. He had a really nice Trad bow. I was using my cheap fiberglass bow. I loved that orange bow. Lol. I was about as accurate as he was.

Are they allowed in Olympic style recurve?

My understanding is that you could use one, but no one would want to. You need sights and other things for extreme precision shooting.

@@knightingalesaid I have two recurve bows but I never liked the riser clicker. I was looking for other solutions but only if they were legal it use.

@@FPChris If you have perfect form with a good anchor point and release you dont need a clicker. I shoot different types of bows. My anchor is a little different with them. The clicker helps remind me of my anchor point on the trad bow.

It's really good, defeats the purpose of traditional archery though

It’s for practicing. It helps your muscle memory. The clicker would scare away game.
