In my old large frame 94mm turbo combo with a 349" sbf, @ 27psi boost, every 1 degree of timing was worth 44 hp. If you are on the edge, 2 degrees could definitely be the difference in going down, vs spinning. No worries guys. I have no doubt you'll get the Falcon back to it's winning ways in short order.

Looking back going down memory lane, in '83 I had a '71 Chevelle SS that really wasn't slow! Compared to what y'all run, my Chevelle would be like having a Briggs & Stratton in it! If I knew then, what I know now, I'd be dangerous! It was a 350hp 350 4bbl, Holley750...pretty much the standard for them days. I miss the feeling of being pushed back in the seat!!! Great racing in NC. On any given weekend I can go an hour drive or less to Wake County Dragway, Brewers Dragway in Rocky Mount, Wayne County (hook city), Kinston Dragstrip or Jacksonville Speedway. We never disappoint down here.

I think Nick is going to be hard to beat this year. He seems to be figuring his car out pretty damn good. Looking forward to seeing a rematch at some point this year.
That's what his nova was built for.. hard to compete with a big block twin turbo with an LS unless it's absolutely crap surface especially when they know what they're doing just like them.

Question for the racers. Instead of turbos, could you not use a big progressive NOS system to slowly bring the HP up so as not to shock the tires, blowing them off like when the boost hits on turbo cars?
I'm am old fart so I don't know how things are today😂
The boost does ramp in, just a fine line between not enough and too much, + many other variables on no-prep track.
Judging by all the white smoke, I think the majority of the racers are not using traction control. Good luck when you test it.
You can set up a slip percentage between the front and rear tires, so when it's slick it will haze the tires but not completely blow them off.
If you set it up for no tire slip and no smoke, it will slow the car down.
It's just one more thing to tune and dial in.

In reference to the s10, check the rollers on your lifters. If one is cracked it will knock and might sound like a ristpin.

Good decision to wait with the truck till you get this sorted. Small things can lead to big breakage.
The car went right from the hit. As soon as the tires started to come out of the main groove you can instantly see them start to white smoke.
Even when out your still making sure we get to see the whole race to the FINNISH...I've no doubt you all will be tested and ready for the next one...Turbo John was flying....GOOD final to...

Traction control is how some of the big time racers win ALOT. Like a secret weapon that should be banned in my opinion.If you can use traction control then i should be able to use my drone street car.=No driver=Auto pilot🏁
