I just watched a video of you singing Porgi Amor [because I am preparing the aria] and my God you are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm still finding my voice and your channel has been so helpful. I wish I could have a lesson with you, so you can tell me what I'm missing. Thank you so much for sharing.
Jacqueline Black hello there! Thank you so much. That's very kind of you to say. If you ever have a question and want to pick my brain, I will do my best to answer and help! If you PM my Facebook business page, that's probably the easiest way to have a conversation. All the best! Have fun with Countess. Some of the best music ever written!
Goodness girl, you have a super instrument! Great exercises.
Loved your warm-ups! Subbed! Please do more on breathing techniques and mixed voice skills! 😍🙏🏼
I've watched this vid since July 2017; STILL learning from it! Ty, Tammie!
definitely gonna try those, warm ups are very personal but it's interesting to try new ones, sometimes they become your favorites because they fit your own voice perfectly. Thanks
I totally do the ghost scales, too. It's part of every one of my warmups and a lot of my peers will make fun of me on occasion because it makes them think that the conservatory is haunted! I love your videos. You have such a positive and inspiring energy and you're a joy to watch in these videos!
I was at the Walküre with you and Gergiev. You were the best thing up there! Very inspiring to this fellow singer.

You are so amazing!! Thank you so much for that video!
Could you do a video on breath and support? Thanks so much!
Greetings from a Greek fan!
oh my god that lower reg ee exercise is how i got my low notes!
Beautiful! 👏
I think you're an amazing singer (although I haven't had the fortune to hear you live :( ) and I just adore the way you use channels like these to reach out to your audience and to other (younger) singers.
What I notice is that the exercices you do are really 'vocal' exercises. But how do you 'warm-up' your body? Do you do breathing exercises, yoga, sports, core training, whatever...? Or has it become something like a 'natural thing' that you don't have to think about anymore?
And on a different topic (but still related): when you go out on stage to perform, are you still thinking about technique at all? Or are you completely 'acting' as the character without any technical or musical distraction?
omg !! what a voice :)
amazing! thank you
Very helpful!
P.s. beautiful voice! (And personality) :)
Amazing...please more Videos like that.
very interesting thank you Tammy

I just discovered u! GREAT!..LOVE THIS VIDEO🤗
Thank you for sharing your process. I cannot wait to experience your Leonora at Lyric. Toi! Toi! Toi!
What an amazing voice you have!!! I feel like shit for not being able to even warm up properly.
Everyone starts somewhere. Smile. Take a deep breath, & start warming up!
Thank you for posting this video. I am trying to get my voice back in classical shape ( I'm a mezzo) and it has been a struggle without my college voice professor. This helps. I'd love any suggestions you may have. 🌹
Amazing
mamma mia..bravissima!!!
Wonderful singer. Sweet and lovely person.
What an excellent voice! I would love love love more videos on technique. But I see you haven't been very active on UA-cam lately. So sad.
Loved it!!!! thank you so much!!! I was wondering which Stacatto excercises would you do or recommend . Thank you!
Guadalupe, here is a video response for a staccato exercise.

Thanks for watching and all the best!
Woww...just woww..
Sam hankey videos brought me here 👌🏾👌🏾 good shit keep it up
I'm also curious to know if you maybe could make a video on some of things dramatic voices and dramatic sopranos deal with in comparison to the things say lyric sopranos deal with. Like struggles of rep, what maybe your voices go through in sickness, acoustic challenges, voice being too loud at times, issues with conductors, vocal differences and experiences as a dramatic voice say then lyric or smaller voices etc.
💖
I loved your vídeo
Brava👏👏👏
WOW, you sure can sing! You have a lot of "body" to your voice. I love it! I want to be able to sing better.
Hi Tammy thank you for the video. Would you be able to do a presentation on techniques to sing very high notes in full voice please? I am a student soprano
Can you make a video on vocal technique? proper way to use our instruments
Wow!! You are such an incredibile singer and actress! I really love your tecnique! Bravissima !! Thank you for this video, i Found it very usefull!! Thank you very much ! Can you talk abaut passaggio? Thank you so much . Byeeee
Loved your tip about resonance at the end there! Do you have any other exercises that help resonance? x
Good voice
I love your video
What's the highest note in your range or highest you've ever sang and how is your voice so resonant? It's a boom of sound.
How do you smoothly connect between the chest and head? I have a break between the two and I am working on it but it is still hard
Amazing voice! Are you dramatic soprano?
Thank you for sharing the video.
Can you please make a video about breathing and support? Thanks again!
Cheers!
Wow I cannot get my voice to sound as forward as it does when I pull my lip out. So frustrating.
I love lax vox exercises :) and Estill voice method.
How often do you practice? Is there a way you can show what is your practice plan? From then (college or even high school) to now.
Hey, I love these warm-ups but the only thing is would you mind doing this video over again because on these high notes it was hard to tell what you were doing on some of the warm-ups? Thanks.
Dear teacher, thanks for your knowkedge about technique, sincerety; but " accompanying to the student and " " stop" to explain.
Fed up with " ghost" videos, without a face or leaving the piano alone...to teac😅.
could you prepare excercices to reach the " scales" notes, like in..." Casta Diva"- ..' queste vogio..and a huge high scale of notes...
Thanks in advance...❤
Thansk for this warmup. Do you do the ba ba be in your head voice or chest voice? It sounds like head to me when you start.
what's your highest note?
you actually sang a bottom d... 3 octaves!
plus you were great at the proms last night :)
Is it possible to strengthen your middle voice from airy to really strong like your are doing?
Hi there,
Anytime you feel any air escaping, think of not blowing out your air or getting rid of your air. Think of spinning and of resonance, NOT volume. You're not looking for a loud middle you're looking for a flexible and secure middle.
On any exercise that you want, try thinking of producing sound on an "inhale." It's just a way to trick your brain into not overblowing. Also, your breath coordination needs to line up in a way that you aren't "tucking up" or overblowing your air. Think of a steady consistent stream. In order for that to happen you will have to temper your appoggio or, to put it another way, balance how much your abs and diaphragm are dancing. They have to be working together the whole time, when one leads or follows too long, tension or lack of tension (air escaping) can happen.
I hope that helps. AGAIN, I always want to stress that any advice I give is based on what works for me, I haven't heard you sing personally so I can't diagnose exactly what you're doing. I hope this points you into a direction of self discovery for what will or won't work for you.
All the best!
Hi Tamara, do you do breathing exercise before warming up? Thanks.
:)
rafael pacifico hi there! I will do a calming breath technique just to get me started. Inhale 4 counts hold 2 counts, exhale 6 counts hold 2 counts. Repeat the process until you feel relaxed and in tune with your breath. You can use it as a challenge also to train for longer phrases all you have to do switch up the count numbers.
Another exercise is the do scales on lip trills until your air is completely out, each time trying to go a little longer than before.
I’ll do some percussive exhales with my lips in an “u” position. Just some staccato exhale pulses (kind of like you see in movies when women are giving birth). Really engage your abdomen, your tummy should move a lot. Ps that’s not how your breathing should function it’s just something to get the breath ready to work. Like a stretch before running.
Hope that helps!
thank you very much! it is a big help! :)
Can you talk about technique when you can ?
are you on FB? Is there a way to contact you? I love your video classes...do you teach privately Carol V.
R u a mezzo soprano or a soprano?
Is this Lily? I want to make sure so I don't repeat myself. :)
Yes, thank you for answering all of my questions and I'm sorry that I took up your time with those questions.
No problem! I just wanted to make sure I answered the comment. :) Have a good one!
You too, thanks again!
wet...
Fine, entertaining, personality in keeping with contemporary singing. The vocal approach is very different from FLAGSTAD, greatest Dramatic Soprano of the century.
Her routine might not work for you - consult you r own teacher!
This is completely true! Thanks for mentioning that. Everyone has a different voice and not everything works for everyone.
There is no such thing as head or chest voice. Good open E vowel
Nonsense.
