- Ville Valo is probably one of the fathers of emo. In an interview with MoreCore at Rock am Ring, the musician and HIM founder talks about his way of songwriting, the upcoming tour with Black Veil Brides and much more. Afterwards it was straight onto the stage for him.
We also asked him to draw a picture, during the interview. What happens with it? We will keep you posted!

I'm from Finland and still never listened to HIM when they were together. Of course I knew the band's name, "Join me" and that they were successful, but started to listen to them and got the vibe of their stuff eventually after Neon Noir. Ville is a musical genius.

Always had much love for Ville and his work, new and old. He has such a hypnotic sound. Truly a gift to music. I feel so lucky to get to see him in concert again after so long. Last time I had the opportunity was in 2007, and I screamed when I learned he’s coming to Niagara Falls! I had just been wishing I could do something special for my 30th that month, and here he pops in like my very own little fairy gothmother 😆🖤 Love you V!
I'm obsessed with him. There is something about him that just draws me in. I can't wait to see him live in concert.
Glad ville came back, I didn't get a chance to see h.i.m for their last tour in 2017 but I was lucky enough to see ville in April and it was amazing show. I love the new album and when he sang h.i.m songs was truly love in away . Gonna see him again with bvb
I didn't get to see the neon noir tour but saw him with bvb, and it was fucking amazing. I saw him in 2006 twice and Ville is still just as amazing today as he was 17 years ago! He just mentioned Boise and that's where I saw him lol
Just saw him in concert with Black Veil Brides. I didn’t know who he was! He was awesome!!
I'm just super happy he's still putting music out. His voice is so soothing to me. Been listening to HIM since 1997. Absolutely lost when he had ended HIM in 2017. He is my god. ❤️🔥🤘

I worry about him too. He looked thinner then usual and he seems stressed over his age. Anyone who has been on a tour of any kind knows it zaps a lot out of you.
I hope he takes time off . He does not need to risk relapse with the smoking and drinking. That ends to many talented people's lives.
@@jerrimenard3092 I'm surprised he's back on tour again so soon! I missed Ville in April and was absolutely gutted, and was shocked that he's coming thru again in October! I hope he takes a break at year's end. Working that hard at his age isn't the same like when he was in his 20s.... he needs to chill
@@jerrimenard3092 Well, if he feels capable to do this, let him try! Maybe he needed it, after so many years on working with Him and then the Agents, perhaps he felt the need do something for his own. I hope this new chapter brings more light to Ville 🙂

I think he needs to do a class on Magick . He never gets to into his Chaos Magick ideas and what little he says is inspired. I want his thoughts on the book " Nightside of Eden". All the Pluto stuff in the first chapter.
I looked at his chart and saw he has his Sun, Moon and Pluto conjunct in Sagittarius. His rising sign is Scorpio. Pluto is going into his 4th house for the next 20 plus years in aquarius, so perhaps we will get our wish.
I heard another interview he gave in January of this year where he talked about words being sigils and portals. I wish I could remember who it was with. The thumbnail was a drawing of Ville with snakes around him. Talk about apropos!
Neon Noir is just as good, if not better than DS&BH, and Love Metal. It sounds like those, in a good way.

Those are permanent dentures. His teeth got really bad in the mid 2010s from depression and from smoking for so long.
They look great. I have dentures like that for the same reason, depression. Kids, please do shadow work in therapy and come out of the closet before you loose all your teeth. It's about staying alive.
