- While browsing through the local gun shop, what to my eye should appear but a strange looking bolt action rifle all dirty and dingy sitting in the corner with no price tag near. "Ahh... what is this?" I ask and the shop keeper looks.
"Oh that, is a 12GA Bolt Action Shotgun traded this day to me!"
Well then, look and see "How much?" I say?
"Well, $90 then and it's yours to go"
"Done!" I say and we're out the door.
Enjoy some footage of this old Bolt Action 12GA Shotgun!

Always had a fascination for bolt action shotguns. But I love the old lever action shot guns!
I've always felt the bolt actions were the ultimate slug gun. I had a 20 ga Stevens with a 3" chamber that took a slew of deer when I was a kid.
One more thing, try loading the mag before putting it in the gun. On some of these guns there is a part that makes sure the bolt slides the round forward before the back of the shell pops up. It helps when using rimmed ammunition in a magazine. otherwise you get odd behavior if the rim of the top shell contacts the rim of the lower shell. But that makes it very hard to load from the top. It does help to make sure the rims are staggered so that you do not have this issue whenever possible. Anyway, to load a round with the mag in the gun you may have to insert the back of the round in first toward the middle of the mag. think about parallel parking a car... That should help.
Beautiful! Those old guns were built to last, and generally very inexpensive. Good find!
I have a bolt action .410 and my cousin had a 12 GA like that. WesternField was the Montgomery Wards brand name for re-branded guns made by many gun makers. Basically stores like Sears, Montgomery Wards and just about every Department store chain would re-brand popular guns and sell them as their own. Marlin made the Model EMN-175 for Montgomery Ward from 1955 to 1958. I love these old guns and they are CHEAP.
I am the proud owner of 1958 sears and roebuck bolt action shotgun model 14 I love love how they shoot its full choke its just so damn smooth with how good they shoot!!
I have a bolt action Marlin 55 12 gauge I recently bought from a friend for 200$. Beautiful shotgun and extremely reliable.
I about died reading the Night Before Christmas style description. XD
oh yes, but what can I say? it's been a good shotgun to this very day!
+ShootFastFun did you just sell that gun?
Have the same gun bro 2 in the clip & 1 in the chamber works fantastic
I bet it kicks hard eh???
This is an old video however if you still have the shotgun you might want to look at the magazine problem. It has been known of people cleaning the magazine and putting the spring in backwards or upside down. The shell follower should have a incline facing towards the chamber. Hope this helps you.
I got a marlin one like this floor 85 today it shots great I'm happy with it
Great content. Good show. Keep it up. Make your own future.
I had a similar looking Westernfield bolt action 12 gauge when I was a kid (Late 70s). A lot of good memories and all, but I wore it out, was not a quality gun. The trigger and safety mechanism actually became loose and somewhat dangerous. My friend back then had an 870 wingmaster that he still uses to this day.
I joined marksmanship and my dad gave me this gun everyone's in love with it.
Pretty cool it's even got that old twista choke lol
same exact shotgun as a marlin model 55 and 55g Glenfields
My nephew has this exact same gun. It was his grandfather's shotgun. It has a LONG barrel. I imagine it's a great gun for goose/ ducks as it is barrel heavy. I can see sitting in a blind with this gun, but I wouldn't want to carry it around all day. I had a Mossberg 20 gauge that was my absolute favorite gun for hunting and it had a shorter, lighter barrel. These are great guns that just keep working. I'd out-shoot them all with their expensive autoloaders. Lol
this was the first shotgun I ever fired.
haven't seen a bolt action shotgun in a long time, very cool. iv always wanted a double barrel like in the end their. what did they call them, stage coach rifles. great day of family fun
Yep, that's where the term, "Riding shotgun," came from. Those old coach shotguns were double barreled Rossi coach guns.
Unusual gun and even more unusual accent. Where ru from?
I wonder if they ever tried to put a fixed type mag in these things.😮
you sound irish. do they have guns in Ireland?
Love it 😍
Where can I find a clip for this gun
Cool find.
Tengo una parecida pero stevens mod 58 he buscado inf pero no encuentro quisiera saber el año de fabricación
Can you saw the barrel. Can it load on striper clip.

Anyone know where I can find a magazine for this specific shotgun? Links please
Ebay
Very interesting and different.
What gun shop did you buy this shotgun? I live in Lawrenceville, GA and am interested in shops that carry old guns.
We were at the Army Navy in Stockbridge, GA. They have an indoor gun range, that's where we are in a couple of our previous videos.
I have been there a couple of times. When I am on the south side of Atlanta, I try to stop by Moss Pawn and Army Navy.
Any idea where you can get a magazine for this? I can't find mine
+Herman2416 Did you try Numrich?
Edgar Roop yea, nothing.
I wonder if you can get larger mags for that thing?
That’s what I’m wondering but can’t find any lol
I want one now.
ทำไมเขาทำแม็กกาซีนสักห้านัดล้างนะ
